Metatarsalgia

Metatarsalgia pretty much stopped me walking for a while a couple of years ago. Professional advice is a good way to go, also realising that most of these unbelievably irritating soft tissue problems do get better in the end. All the very best with it.

I searched the internet and learned about metatarsalgia. It describes the condition perfectly. I tried some self-help advice such as changing how my Brooks Ghost running shoes are laced but this made no difference. I managed a miserable 2k before stopping.

I had looked up ball of the foot pain and come up with the idea of metatarsalgia. He did his inspecting and a bit of poking and prodding; very tender on top of the foot. He felt I needed an x-ray just to be on the safe side.

Metatarsalgia feet pain soles , I’m taking some new meds on top of my old one are : atorvastin 20 mg aspirin 75 mg and mycophenolate 1 g twice a day , folic acid , instaed to improve my muscles weakness and fatigue I feel worst , the pain on the bottom of my feet is agony any suggestions?

Ok so I'm new to this I been currently dealing with this pain on the bottom of my left foot right underneath my second or third toe of I sit down and take my shoes off I get a unbearable burning sensation pain and my foot almost feels like it has restless legs syndrome I guess from the unbearable and

Has anyone got any experience of running with metatarsalgia (pain in ball of foot)? I’ve managed to run with it until recently when the pain became unbearable. I feel as though i need some sort of protection to the area but don’t know what to use.

I ran for about 18 months post-graduation but developed metatarsalgia which has taken about 9 months to heal. I'm thinking about lacing up my trainers again but am worried it might happen again. However, I have seen lots of adverts for shock-absorbing insoles and I wondered if those would help.

Quick google search I think I have metatarsalgia. So I guess sadly stop running for a while and make a visit to the podiatrist. Trying to find that sweet spot in exercising where I can improve my health and wellness but not injure myself and cause wear and tear on my body ahh....

Over the last week I developed some pain in the ball of my right foot (probably metatarsalgia/Morton’s Neuroma, as I wrote about here https://healthunlocked.com/bridgeto10k/posts/147127163/my-first-hill-sprints-yippee-and-first-metatarsalgia-boohoo ).

The pain in the ball of the foot is more annoying than painful, but it is a slightly burning sensation between and in the area of the 3rd and 4th toe so after looking into it, I have a suspicion that it is the early warning bells of metatarsalgia and more specifically Morton's neuroma.

I was diagnosed with metatarsalgia in my right foot. Anyone of you good people has this issue too? I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks
