10 years of MBC- tumor markers creeping up.
Hi everyone. I was diagnosed Sept 22, 2011. Bones only. My first 4-5 years were pretty harsh. Avastin, Femara, Pamamidrate. After nearly dying, my oncologist just left me on Femara. Now my markers have been slowly increasing, the biggest this last test, every 4 months. They jumped 20 points. Now

Tests post Docetaxel
But the interesting thing to me is that these tests are looking for Osseous
Metastasis
as defined in the reports. So, in my mind, tests should be done to check and see any differentiation from pretreatment to post treatment, especially if suspect lesions or hot spots were identified.

New Member Scouting for answers; To radiate now or not
Suggested that elevated PSA could be from inflammation so he put me on an antibiotic (Cipro) for 30 days, had both a bone and a soft tissue CT scan to look for
Metastasis
during that period, both came up negative. Now know they were not strong enough to give good info.

I'm 60 years old and was diagnosed with PCa at 06/06/2018: PSA 1000 and extensive pelvic
metastasis
, this is accurate as I'm reading my Dana-Farber treatment history report, obviously started ADT treatment. Then added Taxotere on 07/19/19, strategy of being aggressive to the fight.

When to take letrozole?
I started taking letrozole right before bedtime several weeks ago. I did this to avoid the dizziness that I had been sometimes during the day. But now I’m having hot flashes just about every night. Thinking I’ll go back to taking it in the morning when I get up. Would really appreciate your thoughts

Cancer 'power failure' stops the spread of tumor cells
Sirturo, targeted the fuel supply of cancer cells and blocked
metastasis
by nearly 85%. The drug had no effects on normal cells, thereby minimizing side-effects. It found that treatment with Sirturo caused a 'power failure," but only in cancer cells.

Side effects of Perjeta?
I'm trying to find a source that separates the side effects of Perjeta from those of Taxol. I am 75 years old and was moderately active before the double whammy of chemo and COVID isolation. A year ago, I completed a 12-week regimen of Taxol, Herceptin, and Perjeta, which stopped my cancer. Since then

First off, thanks to all the amazing women in this community. I have learned so much about the disease and the amazing stories of courage and perseverance. Very inspiring. This is my first post, I apologize in advance if I ramble. It is my 84 year old father dealing with MBC and I am along for the ride

Oral SERD trial - 1st result
When Ibrance and Fulvestrant stopped working -- 2 new mets, and old one avid -- I went into a clinical trial for an oral SERD (same mechanism as Fulvestrant, blocking estrogen receptors). The one I am on is put out by Zeno Pharmaceuticals; trial is called n-c5-0001. I take a daily capsule on empty stomach

Hi Everyone, Its been a while since I lasted posted. I need everyone’s advice and knowledge. Then what?
Hi all, As you may remember, I had SBRT to my liver for two lesions last month. After the 2 week holding period, I started Verzenio. Due to extreme side effects, I took a 3 day break and went down from 200mg 2x per day to one 200mg tablet every 18 hours. I continue to have upper right quadrant pain

I was trying to find any positive stories for breast cancer

in peritoneal. But I couldn’t find. I also wanted to ask, would her hair grow back while on kisqali? And I found out her toe nails has peeled off. Would they come back? What shall we do to help her?

RISE IN TUMOR MARKERS
Hello, fellow MBC fighters! 💗💗 I’ve recently had a treatment change to Xeloda (capecitabine) after mild progression on Faslodex. My blood work yesterday showed a slightly elevated number in both markers after two cycles on Xeloda. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Just feeling disappointed
