When Ibrance and Fulvestrant stopped working -- 2 new mets, and old one avid -- I went into a clinical trial for an oral SERD (same mechanism as Fulvestrant, blocking estrogen receptors). The one I am on is put out by Zeno Pharmaceuticals; trial is called n-c5-0001. I take a daily capsule on empty stomach.
Had my first scan last week (using the new radioactive isotope special for ER+HER2-). Just got results and have not seen oncologist to get interpretation (tomorrow). It looks good. No mention of the two new mets that showed up on last scan, all old bone mets healed. Everything unremarkable -- except for one thing that I bet those two experts in this group could explain: "Minimal activity is demonstrated within subcentimeter right lower paratracheal node, SUV max 2.3 (3:70)."
That sounds pretty high? SUV 2.3? I have to look up what it was before, but I have been having something going on there for a year or more. Onocologist thought it might be an infection, but it has persisted, so apparently not.
