I was diagnosed with prostate cancer Sept 2017- biopsy revealed Gleason 9 (5+4) in 11 out of 12 cores. Scans revealed no metastasis. Treatment was external radiation and Lupron injections. PSA reading on 6/19/2018 was 0.32 with the latest reading 01/12/2022 of 4.78. A suggested treatment involves the drug Xtandi. Does anyone have experience with this drug.
Thanks

I had the same diagnosis numbers on 24th December 2019. In 2020 I was prescribed Xtandi (enzalutamide) 4 times 40 mg. I had one area where there was uncertainty about if the cancer had broken out. My P S A is less than .1 where it has stayed for over a year now. The side effects I have experienced are dry skin and fatigue mainly but I still play golf twice a week, as exercise is the only way to fight the tiredness. I did have six weekly radio therapy at the beginning of my treatment with six monthly hormone injections.
I have 8 weekly assessments ( PSA blood tests, weight checks and blood pressure checks) . Life is good so I wish you well with your treatment.
Xtandi here is almost as popular as a cold beer..... do a search from your home page....Lots of hits.....
