Sick again

So every month since I had Covid in December I’ve been sick with something. I had a UTI then the reaction to the new Faslodex and now I’m home sick with the worst cold ever. I don’t know if this is from stress or just my immune system saying quit your job. Anyone have this experience?

Hi, sorry your having a bout of infections….as if you haven’t got enough going on already! I had Covid mildly in February… and although I was testing negative after 4 days…it took a good month to feel totally clear.I’ve heard of a lot of people, without cancer, having a depleted immune system after Covid. Im sorry I’m not sure what to recommend. I know some natural remedies like enchinacea tea are supposed to help boost immune system…but please check with your oncologist as it may have contradictions to your meds.

Hope you feel better soon.

Sending you a hug.💓 Zoe x

I would talk to your oncologist. It sounds like your immune system has nosedived. When I had several infections I was taken off the ibrance for a couple of weeks. Take care, rest and eat well. x

She will not take me off of it and I’m on an antibiotic and still kept me on it. She told me I can’t keep interrupting the course of meds and implying that I am not wanting to take meds. I’m seriously thinking about changing oncologists. I don’t like the condescending talk and how she feels I’m having emotional problems.

That doesn't sound right. I went into hospital with an infection and there was no question. They said for the antibiotics to work properly I had to stop the ibrance.

That’s what I’ve done before but she keeps telling me what I have is viral.

Greetings : Sister Warrior :) . Your Dr. is right. There are colds/flu's that can be viral, or bacterial infections. An antibiotic will not help a viral infection. Most Dr.s give the antibiotic because patients want it, and patients believe this is the only way they will get better. This is why we have antibiotic resistance, and the cost for stronger antibiotics is climbing into the thousands.🙃😐 Happy Good Friday😇

Going to finish the antibiotics just in case because my fever was 103 and some other awful symptoms I dare not say here. Happy holiday weekend to you also.
