Meriofert

Due to start my injections this Saturday I have been prescribed meriofert. Just asking out of curiosity what others who have also been diagnosed with endometriosis have been prescribed for their cycles and is meriofert a common IVF drug used for ladies who have endometriosis ?

I'm on meriofert 300 dose for 6 days. I start ganirelix 0.25mgs on day 6 to day 9. On day 7 to 9 my meriofert dose reduces down to 150 dose and I start Gonal F 150 dose. Day 10 is my first scan and then we go from there.

My cycle was day 1-6 - 300 meriofert Day 6 start ganirelix shot Day 6-13 - 150 meriofert, 150 gonal F, ganirelix shot in the morning. If we can afford further cycle not sure if the stims will change.. any thoughts?? Xx

Hi all, My consultant has suggested trying to Meriofert (for cycle 2) to improve egg quality at collection. I was previously on Ovaleap, which produced 18 eggs but had low fertilisation rates. Has anyone had better results using Meriofert? Thanks all

I had my first monitoring scan today after a week of 300iu meriofert and ganirelix a day. My right ovary showed 2 follicles (14/11) but my left didn’t show any response. I have a amh of 1 so wasn’t expecting loads but thought it’d be a few more as at the baseline I was showing 6 follicles.

I have 13 vials of unused Meriofert in 75Iu. Please PM if you have any suggestions of what I can do with this. Thanks 😊

hi all. I’m 5 days into my first round of IVF (secondary infertility). Just wondered if anyone else has been getting a lot of cramps during stimulation? I’m also sooo tired but I don’t know how much of it is in my imagination! Any other fun side effects to warn me of? Obviously I’ve read the info from

Basically I had 11 days of Norethisterone, then after the bleed I started Meriofert 300mg daily then on the fifth day of taking Meriofert I started Ganirelix 25mg in the mornings too. I am due to have a blood test and scan on Monday 26th August, with potential egg collection on Wednesday 28th.

Last year I had step down protocol (short Antagonist), i think it was 150 meriofert x 2 a day for a couple of days, then 150 meriofert once a day, and ganirelix in the morning from day 5. This worked well for me last time and got 11 eggs, 9 mature.

Last week I went for my egg collection, there were only 3 follicles growing even though I was on meriofert 450 IU and 0.2 ml Leuprorelin daily (last day ran out so they gave me Buserellin ).

I just went for my day 7 scan I am on meriofert 225 and my right ovary is behaving ok (6 follicles growing of which 4 at around 14 mm and the other smaller) but I am puzzled and sad to know that my left ovary hasn’t responded to the meds at all.

Was on 375 meriofert. Too much stimulation at my age? On lots of supplements, ubquionol, vit E, vit D, herology supplement drink and a good diet. My first round of ivf in May only got me 1 egg which didn't fertilise.

I’m using meriofert 900iu PFS and taking 450iu per day. This is my second day so used the already mixed solution drew up 450iu however have noticed that there is still solution remaining in the glass vile. What should I do?

This will be for priming, and then I'll start Meriofert on day 2 of my period. (Then fly out to Athens for the EC.) Desired outcome is 4/5 blasts this time - which will give me some to transfer (will not be doing PGTA) and some to bank. I will let my body decide what embryos are to grow.

I’m starting my third round of IVF next Monday & this time they have changed my meds from Buserelin & Menopur to Syneral & Meriofert. Just wondering if anyone else has made this switch & what results they saw? Thanks.

37 year old woman. Severe stage 4 endometriosis. Unable to conceive. Surgery May 2024 revealed bilateral endometrioma 9cm and 10cm inside ovaries plastered to back of pelvic wall and attached to bowel. Left fallopian tube wrapped round and stuck to left endometrioma and left endometrioma receiving blood

I’m going to start quite a high dose of GonalF and then Meriofert so hopefully that will really get them going. Has anyone seen more follicles come through after the baseline scan or is this the best I can hope for?

This is on a monitoring cycle with 6x 150 meriofert injections. Can anyone actually explain what this means / could mean? I'm about to start IVF next month but now seriously concerned that my follicles are all empty / not going to get any mature eggs etc.

She examined me and said that my ovary hasn’t responded to Meriofert 300iu at all and that I should today take a short of Meriofert 300iu and continue taking it without Ganarelix until Thursday morning when I am again booked in for an ultrasound.

She also gave us option of changing the medication from Meriofert to Pergoveris which is apparently more pure? Not sure whether to stick with Meriofert? Anyone had same treatment ? 37yrs soon High NK cell and thyroid antibodies, on immune protocol
