Antagonist protocol, did it work well for you ?

Hi lovely ladies,

I hope you're all keeping strong, hopeful and sane in your journeys, i really hope you're closer to the positive outcome you all deserve xx

I've started stims Wednesday this week , and I was told that they were tweaking my treatment vs last year. Last year I had step down protocol (short Antagonist), i think it was 150 meriofert x 2 a day for a couple of days, then 150 meriofert once a day, and ganirelix in the morning from day 5. This worked well for me last time and got 11 eggs, 9 mature. This was after 8 days of stims, egg collection was done on day 10.

This time they have said they'll do just normal antagonist, no double meriofert on the first days, but instead try to stim a big longer e.g. for 10 days.

Wondering if anyone else has had experience with these 2? and what worked better for you? I did like how short it all was last time, but now that i know we are doing something different i'm worrying if it will work the same? I know it will be whatever it will be, and that each body responds differently, but you know how this is, one cannot stop the mind from overthinking! I'd be really grateful if you could share your experiences.

many thanks in advance, sending you all the best of luck for your journeys xx

Hi lovely, I hope you’re well, I’m actually not sure the nurse said it should be better because it’s closer to normal cycle , but I’m not sure if they think they can get more eggs or what’s the real reason . Which protocol have you used ?

Thanks lovely, they ended up triggering me after 1 week again , but without the step down I have got less big follicles, so they think I might get less eggs this time , not ideal but hopefully it will all go well Friday , thanks again for taking the time to respond and for the support, I hope things are going well in your journey, sending you loads of good luck xx
