Thyroid and HRT
It’s taken me about two years of trial and error, making mistakes and breakthroughs, successes and fails to get to where I am now, which is well, thriving sometimes on T3 only. However, I’m finding I have massive cyclical swings in how I feel. I’ve used progesterone cream for a while now to address

Starting Decapeptyl - feel like this?
Hi, So, here goes, this is the first night after my first decapeptyl injection (had it yesterday afternoon). Well, it's nearly 2am, and it feels as though the area inside my abdomen is "burning" or so very, very achy. My body's "alarm bells" feel like they're sounding the alert. I suspect that this

Brainstem and spinal cord dysfunction from androgen deprivation
This morning I had my 2nd decompression surgery of my left L-2 spinal nerve root in 2 months. I had disabling pain progressing since last Summer rendering me unable to walk due to pain on most days. One day after the first surgery the pain actually got worse due to "hypoxia re-perfusion injury", and

ERA / Auto immune testing /NK cells results are back, lots of changes to be made
I had a phone call today from my DR and there are many changes I need to make with my next transfer, feeling positive I have something to move forward with. 1. My implantation window was incorrect. I'm early receptive, I need an extra 12 hours of progesterone (also need a higher dose of progesterone

What was your estrogen level before egg collection?
Hi on my last round of IVF I had lots of empty follicles. I had my estrogen level checked yesterday and it’s 3475, which is a good level. I’m due EC on Saturday. Could you let me know if you had your estrogen level checked prior to EC and how my eggs they retrieved? Thank you in advance xx

Oestrogen
Recently listened to a pod cast by Louise newson, about the advantages of oestrogen. Especially for bone health and dementia. She recommends women continue to take oestrogen beyond menopause. It has been found the cancer risks are far less than originally thought. Will ask rheumatologist at next

I'm new here and feeling so, so defeated :(
Hi everyone, I hope everyone's having a decent day! I'm sorry this might be a bit long..... I have been passed from pillar to post again and again by various gyneas, doctors, nurses and I'm getting so much different information and fobbings off I don't know what to do. I'll try and summarise: Started

Testosterone therapy to... LOWER testosterone production?
I know there is plenty of talk here about BAT and TRT and SPT (i.e., supra-physiological levels of testosterone) , but there is an aspect of getting high-T shots that sometimes gets mentioned without in-depth discussion. Namely, that high doses of exogenous T can serve to suppress the endogenous (testicular

Letrazole
I have been taking Letrazole since March 2020. I know it blocks estrogen; I have been having vaginal irritation and burning and assume it is related to depleted estrogen. How do some of you deal with this issue? My OB/GYN has prescribed me a steroid cream which helps some. Thanks! Judy

How to know where a doc stands, without first becoming a patient?
This question could be generalized, to cover any concern about what treatments a doc might be willing or unwilling to pursue with a patient for ANY condition, but I was thinking more in terms of men with PC who are wondering if certain other docs might be more flexible than their current docs with off-label

Cancelled FET what next?
Hi everyone. I’m looking for a bit of advice after my latest FET was cancelled. I have a call with our consultant next week and wondering what I should be asking/ pushing for? My FET was cancelled not because of a thin lining but because it was too thick and irregular (only two lines rather than three

Peri menopause and thyroxine
I appreciate this is a niche question! I’ve been finding that when I’m over replaced I suffer many symptoms of low oestrogen. I’m having a very hard time getting the right balance. I really need to raise ferritin too which I think will help. I actually know I do well with thyroxine it’s trying to maintain

BRCA2 mutation and PARP inhibitor in the castration sensitive
I took a genetic germ-line test showing I have the BRCA2 mutation, thanks to advice from https://www.prostatecancer.news/2019/10/olaparib-slows-progression-in-men-with.html The link shows promising results from using PARP inhibitors, however on (metastatic) castration resistant men who have already been

Perimenapause anxiety?
I’ve been waking up at night with a racing heart. I’m 52. So my doctor prescribed me 100 mg of estrogen (estradiol 50 patch) and progesterone 100 mg at night in which she says may help me sleep. Has anyone tried hormone replacement therapy and did it help them with their anxiety at night and help

Newer Review Article on Testosterone Replacement and BAT out of China
At the risk of throwing yet more "gasoline on the fire" if this discussion topic, I think it is important for those interested to review what we know (and do not know) as of now. This is a most recent review of the topic out of China. (Not the only nor even the best review article. But a good review

Cancelled Natural FET, after failed medicated FET HELP
Bit of a ramble but feeling a bit low and confused. I did my egg collection in Jan/feb and got 26 eggs and 11 embroys all 5/6 days so I was thrilled with the result. This is when things were going well. Since then I was too over stimulated so had to do a freeze all cycle and my first FET failed. Straight
