So disinterested in sex
I’m thinking this might be an issue for many of us who are being robbed of our estrogen, but sharing can be so helpful. I just cannot get excited in the least about sex. I’m 65, my husband is 64 and still finds me attractive, which is nice, but it’s tough to keep putting him off. He tries to understand

Exploratory analysis of the associations between urinary phytoestrogens and thyroid hormones among adolescents and adults in the USA
First, this is a bit of an oddity - a paper from China about health in the USA. Second, a paper from China in part about the impact of soy. After all, there is a widespread belief that vast quantities of soy are consumed in China. There have been many posts here in which soy and soy products have been

No bleed on Utrogestan
Hi all, I am in my third/forth month of taking low dose HRT 1 pump daily oestrogen gel 200mg Utrogestran day 15- 26 of cycle. For the first few months I received my normal periods on day 20/21 of my cycle. This month I have not bled at all and I am now 2 weeks over. My periods have always been 28

Ashermans, thin lining, low ovarian reserve, poor responder.. trying ivf one last time with donor sperm for possible surrogacy if lucky
After many years of having a Mirena coil for heavy periods, my then partner and I decided to start to try for a baby. I thought it was strange that when I had the coil out my periods remained just as light as when I had it in. I decided to do some hormone tests, and discovered I had a high prolactin

Lining thickness varying ?
Hi everyone, Hope you're having a good day. I went for my day 9 scan, preparing the lining with oestrogen tablets for FET. They did a scan and found my lining was triple layer and initially measuring 7.7mm .The doctor moved the probe around and the thickness kept getting less and less from 6.4 to 4.5mm

How on Earth did I get here?
After a lovely 6 mile walk with a friend in November 2020, I experienced sudden lower back pain and what felt like cystitis. My urine was found to have no infection but red and white blood cells were present. I was put on the first of many doses of antibiotics which brought some relief but nothing long

IVF cancelled due to rising LH??
Hi all, So we’ve had another bit of bad news - our 5th round of IVF has been cancelled because my LH levels were too high and my oestrogen levels were not rising quick enough so our doctor said this would not be a ‘good round’ and therefore cancelled it. I’m now in my ovulation window and have tested

Why isn’t body identical progesterone (Utrogestan) used to treat endometriosis? Surely it could help & less side effects than synthetic.
I’ve been wondering about this for a while. With the theory being that oestrogen stimulates endometriosis and progesterone suppresses it, why have I only ever been put on synthetic forms of progesterone? I’ve been on the contraceptive pill, depot provera, Mirena coil and Prostap injections. All of them

HRT AFTER HYSTERECTOMY
Hey all, About 3 months ago I had major excision surgery for my endometrios which involved a full hysterecomy (with ovaries removed) and a bowel resection. I have a temporary ileostomy at the moment so will be having another op in a few months time. I have been on Tibolone for about a year now as was

Raised Gamma GT - won’t come down despite no alcohol
Hello I am hoping there will be people here who have some expertise and able to advise me further if possible. I have had several repeated blood tests where my Gamma GT result has been raised. It was 65 and now it is 71. I used to drink a reasonable amount (14-20 units a week) but since the first abnormal

Estrogen during FET
Hi guys. So my first ivf cycle was fresh and it failed. I luckily have 1 frozen little frostie awaiting transfer. I spoke to the consultant today who wasn't the most explanatory, but basically said I have 2 options, either carry on with my natural cycle and put back frostie when ready, or start meds

What were your symptoms in the TWW after medicated FET?
Hi everyone, I'm 7 days into my TWW after having a 6 Day embryo transferred. The waiting is already driving me crazy! I've had quite a few symptoms after my FET, which I'd like to believe are pregnancy related but I'm also on a lot of progesterone so it could easily be that. A couple of hours after my

Low progesterone
So I got my BFP from an NHS FET on Sunday woohoo! I am on oestrogen (elleste) and progesterone (utrogestan 200mg x3 a day) with them. I have also been having my immune system treated with a private clinic. The day of my transfer the private clinic tested my progesterone and said it was low adding 1 Lubion

Optimal testing regimen
With a PCa with aggressive features (GS9,low-PSA,intraductal,BRCA2+) apparently senescent for the time being, I need an aggressive monitoring regimen. Shortly meeting a doctor at an oncology department, I will as the most important tests ask for the following four, preferably every two months (CTC

Has anyone ever had empty follicle syndrome (EFS)? Trigger issues?
My last cycle we did a down reg and scans all showed at least 8 good sized follicles (and some smaller ones) all growing together (we always had them growing at different rates before). Oestrogen levels before EC all lined up too and then I only got 2 eggs. I was devastated to say the least. Dr thinks

Blood Test results - interpretation please
Hi all Ive just had female hormone panel done - am I reading this wrong or are my oestrogen levels off the scale? I am perimenopausal but currently using Utrogestan and supplementing with Menofriend which contains phytoestrogens? It has me really concerned. Thanks in advance Proteins SHBG 51 nmol
