IVF cancelled due to rising LH??

Hi all,

So we’ve had another bit of bad news - our 5th round of IVF has been cancelled because my LH levels were too high and my oestrogen levels were not rising quick enough so our doctor said this would not be a ‘good round’ and therefore cancelled it. I’m now in my ovulation window and have tested for the last 6 days and each day my LH level has been positive on the ovulation stick. My question is - what on earth does this mean?!? Does it mean the egg has not developed properly, does it mean I’m nearing menopause (I have a low AMH), is this a sign that I won’t produce a normal egg?? We have tried naturally this month, was there any point to this?

I’m so confused and honestly downtrodden by our ivf journey, we have experienced everything under the sun - from a failed fresh transfer to abnormal fertilisation. Can anyone shed light on this new problem? Thank you x x

Hi Babynagic. Probably just means that they need to try a different type of cycle to balance you out better. A nuisance but sadly it can happen. Fingers crossed for next time. Diane
