iron's role in B12 injections
Could I ask your opinion please on iron? There are two conflicting views: B12 injections bring down iron levels and B12 will help absorption of iron and therefore increase them. I don’t have and never had macrocytosis. If iron, like potassium, is used in the formation of red blood cells only if there

I'm sure iron needs to be taken away from anything else but i wondered can i take vitamin B12 and D together? I was thinking

Ferritin
I came across some posts here helping somebody with low ferritin and you sound extremely knowledgeable and hope you can advise me. I've been having tests for an IBS type problem and the bloods found my ferritin is 10.1 (new word to me!) I was called with the result and was just told my Ferritin level

Good morning. Hi, I'm Stasie. I'm in my 80's and up until my CKD diagnosis 2 years ago, I felt as if I was in my 60's. Anyway, I've enjoyed a very healthy life until recently. I've had normal BP with medication for at least 15 years. No diabetes or other major health issues. Recently GFR fell from

Low Sodium when taking Prednisolone
Has anyone else found that they have low sodium which could be due to taking Prednisolone? I have had it since January and didn’t have a blood test for 4 months due to lockdown but had another test last week and despite adding salt to jt food which I was advised to do my sodium level had gone down. Final week of Venetoclax ramp up
Yesterday I took my first 400mg of Venetoclax - ramp up has been going well but with a few side effects. Last week’s blood test showed my sodium levels had dropped but consultant didn’t seem too worried. I am experiencing ear pressure, a whooshy head with lots of dizziness and am getting tired really

Bowel problems
I am starting my third round of chemo as I have had bowel changes and it was found the cancer had grown around the bowel which my oncologist says it could make it sluggish. But my problem is that I’m emptying my bowels up to 8 times a day and I’m very loose which stops me going anywhere for fear or soiling

Possibly getting off exforge
I've had some strange health issues over the last 5-6 years and starting to wonder whether it's the exforge because I can find no other cause of this. Years ago, I think after I started exforge, I started to get random aches and pains in my arms and hands, but it was not so bad so I generally ignored

Help I’m confused
Hi there I am sure this is a familiar story but new to me so any advice welcome. Started to experience ‘heartbeat sound’ in my right ear so went for a hearing test. Audiologist said my ear was so full of wax that he couldn’t see my eardrum. Advised me to use olive oil spray then see a micro suction specialist

Radium 223 disaster
Feb my PSA started to rise (it was 0.028 most of last Summer) the RO said it's normal for PSA to rise during this treatment so didn't worry, they were happy with my blood counts and said things seem to going well, July my PSA got to 75 and started to become concerned, the pain in my legs started to increase
