Maxidex

Still very blurred vision in that eye and on maxidex drops 4 times a day. At least the excessive liquid in my eye has abated although I still wake with haloes in my eye. I need to keep positive that everything is working out for me. Thanks for all the supportive comments.

My Ophthalmology consultant prescribed me Maxidex eye drops for 4 wks, starting with 4drops per day for a wk, dropping down to 3 drop's, 2 drop's, 1 drop per wk. These drop's have helped immensely.

I was not aware that the Maxidex was keeping my eye from healing. There seems to be a dearth of information given to the patient.

I had a new lens fitted on 2 April and have to use Dexamethasomex or Maxidex four times a day. Does this add to my total steroid intake with the Pred. Am on 10 mg after a flare and trying to get back to 7.5 as soon as possible.

I have been back and forth to the ophthalmologist who has been trying to sort me out with Maxidex drops. This is not working. We have tried tapering to nothing, It came back. Then one drop every other day. The episcleritis comes back and became uveitis at one point.

I am taking Maxidex and azopt which makes my eye sting. I use a heat pad after using the computer which helps . Can I use the heat pad before putting the eye drops in? will this reduce the stinging?

If this has not been resolved by Monday, should I take the Maxidex or contact the hospital?

Several times a year I had to go to eye causality and get treated (maxidex, timoptol) with sometimes iop up to 54. I was tested for virtually everything that might triggers this.

I then had eye drops of Maxidex to be given four times a day for two weeks and also Dorzolamide/Timolol eye drops to be given twice a day for four weeks.

I have been prescribed Maxidex drops to help clear up the problem. Has anyone experienced a vitreous detachment and did it last a long time. I cannot have any more injections until this problem is sorted out. Look forward to your comments.

Dexamethasone: Decadron®, Ozurdex®, DexPak 6 Day®, DexPak 13 Day®, Dexamethasone Intensol®, DexPak 10 day®, Maxidex®, LoCort®, etc. Cortisone: Cortison, Cortisone, Cortisone Acetate, Cortone, Cortistab, Cortisyl, Adreson, etc.

Have had cataract surgery one eye is ok but when putting maxidex drops in I get painful stinging and eye gets bloodshot this did not happen in the other eye anyone with similar situation?

Should I report this or start taking maxidex again?
