Hello Carol,
Was the laser treatment as a result of the cataract lens becoming cloudy?
There is a treatment called 'YAG Laser' which is sometimes used for clearing a cloudy lens post cataract operation.
If you still have macular oedema then this will be contributing to your sight problems.
Maxidex (dexamethasone) is used to reduce eye inflammation following eye surgery; oedema is a swelling which sometimes occurs.
I would have a chat with your eye hospital if you haven't been told to start taking the Maxidex again and explain that your sight hasn't improved so that they can guide you accordingly.
Best wishes

Thanks Andi1955 for your reply. It was a yag laser used on the new lens which had clouded up . The Dr who did it said no more drops but now a day later it seems I still have misty vision like oedema so not sure if maxidex is the answer. It's difficult to get in touch with someone at the hospital .
