Had a good year on Taxol and it knocked my CA15 down to almost normal but its creeping back up and my PET shows new activity. We discussed a ton of options and I am grateful there are so many. We also re-ran my original tumors through some more advanced genetic testing. The bottom line next drug is

Memory loss with Docetaxel
In November when I posted for the first time you all were so very helpful in making suggestions to help my honey when he began his Docetaxel chemo treatments on December 1, 2022. Your advice about icing his feet and hands, I believe contributed to his having no neuropathy. He has now completed five

Triplet Therapy Failed. Now what?
I've posted about my father here before - you can check my post history for my older posts. To keep it brief: 60 years old, diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer in June of last year (at 59). Doctor started with hormonal treatment while waiting for him to regain some strength, added Abiraterone (

Failed tumour surgery, what are my options now?

Timing of Chemo (Doxytaxel)
We have been snowed in for over two weeks and I had to reschedule my infusion which is supposed to be every three weeks. Now it looks like we might not be able to get out for the new appointment. How important is the timing of infusions? We need to know how much of an effort we need to make to get out

Mouth being sore is there any way to comfort this?
My mouth has begun to be sore the third day after chemo this time it’s has last almost up to the day to go back for another round of chemo. It’s very uncomfortable to eat and just the pain alone.

Just update. Got #5 yesterday. My psa was at 30 before this, so trending upward. Had radiation on hip 10 days before. Had psma scan after 2, saw some improvement. Boy, since diagnosed when psa was 1100, have gotten down to 5 (after chemo, then agin during zytiga). Maybe mine will always be elevated?

Peritoneal cancer with no visible disease
Hi everyone. I’m new here and am looking for information to help a close relative. She’s been given a diagnosis of primary peritoneal cancer. She presented with a pleural effusion and the cytology showed malignant cells consistent with an ovarian, tubal or peritoneal primary. However, there was nothing

Taxotere and fingerprints.
Here's a chemo side-effect I'd not heard mentioned here... After three rounds of taxotere to date my fingerprints aren't completely gone, but even with retraining my TouchID Mac and phone won't respond to them. To my eye they look smooth, but a close up photo reveals there's still a pattern. The skin

You are what you breath - but what you breath varies...
MY reason for writing this is one or two people liked my answers about the strange world of breathing. I am not a clinician, nor a scientist so beware taking me literally. However some things are self-evident dear Watson. We breath in a mixture of oxygen (20%) , nitrogen (79%) and a tiny amount

Second line standard of care treatment - weekly Paclitaxel - any experiences?
hello everyone I thought I’d seek experiences from those of you who have had the weekly Paclitaxel as second line recurrent HGSOC. I was diagnosed in Nov 2021, had chemo (6 rounds Paclitaxel/carboplatin) and debulking surgery then PARP s. Was NED but had recurrence in Nov 2022. I’m now on weekly

Injections after chemo
Hi lovely ladies, I have HGSOC stage 4 and am about to begin my third lot of chemo in two weeks time. This time it’s Caelyx and I will need to give myself the injections for 5 days after the infusion. I dread this process and really don’t think I can do it this time. Does anyone else know if it is possible
