I found that taking a tape lint roller to the remaing hairs helped. It is sore but the sore went away once all the hair was gone. Hope this is help. Best wishes with your treatments.

Is this what you mean especially at base of head ? My hairdresser carefully shaved it and I got cream from the doctors for the soreness. I couldn’t bear to wear a wig so went with a loose cap

I think the others are right - it hurts more when falling out and early stages of growing back. My hair used to grow so fast 2-3inches every 6 weeks. It’s taken 17mths to get to this length but at least it’s thick again

What a great question! I just finished my second 2 weeks of xe oda (now another key isn't working! guess it's time to get a new dkeyboard!!) and am wondering if my hair wi survive! My wonderfu hairdresser is experienced with cancer hair oss and I trust her to take good care of me. Her husband has cancer and she's had severa customers who have cancer, too. She even offered to schedu e an appt for me at their c osing time so nobody e se wi be there to see me. I hope your head shave goes we and doesn't hurt/itch! Keep us posted!

The hair when it starts falling out does hurt and washing it hurts as well and makes it hurt more. I actually got my husbands hair trimmers and shaved my head with them it was a 0 no combs on it but it did work. Take care and aĺl the best.

After my attempt at cold capping failed, I got distressed with waking up with mouthfuls of hair. I went to the hairdressers' and they very kindly took me into a private room and gave me a buzz cut. So much easier. Having said that, I was very fortunate that my scalp didn't hurt too badly once the hair was gone. It hurt more when it was falling out.

I bought Buff tubular scarves to keep my head warm, and they stayed on in bed pretty well too. They were the least uncomfortable. All the best to you.

Hey everyone,

Thank you for your responses I went ahead and used my son trimmers to take that small amount that was left and it only took a few seconds hardly felt it. Thank so much!
