Reaction to Chemo Drug
I suffered an immediate severe reaction to chemo drug Paclitaxel and had to have an antidote administered in order to recover. The other2 drugs were ok(Carboplatin & Bevacizumab). I was told that some ladies have this reaction but when they take this drug a 2nd time they have no problem. I decided not

What scans have you had after chemo?
After chemo I was thinking that there will be another round of scans to see the effect of the chemo. None were offered. Should I ask for additional scans? I had a CT scan and an MRI when I was first diagnosed. Seems natural to compare the initial results with those from scans after the chemo. What is

Met with neurologist out of Vanderbilt yesterday
Had my 1st visit with Dr out of Vanderbilt, hubby and I really liked him. We talked with him for nearly an hour and he wants to work with my Primary Care physician at home, to co ordinate my treatment. Met with primary care today and she is very willing to work with him. He said my Ferrittin level

I’m sorry I need a whinge
I know it’s not just me in this situation but I was told on Monday that, after a year, Olaparib is no longer working. I’m grateful I can have second line chemo rather than worse case, nothing to be done, which I do appreciate some of you do have to deal with. My sister wanted to talk me through it. That

177Lu-PSMA clinical trials for chemo naive patients
We are in India and I know ppl here have been getting lu pre chemo. My MO offers 177Lu-PSMA therapy too, however he has suggested we get chemo first and then lu if required. (case details in my profile) He mentioned that it has only been trialed in that sequence and not on chemo naive patients.

Chemo side effects and opioid intolerance
Hi all. This is my first post. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer in September and have just had my first chemo. I have had chronic pains in my legs that normal painkillers haven't touched. I'm opioid intolerant but took codeine an hour after metoclopramide hoping this would work but sadly

Triplet therapy after nadir?????
Triplet therapy after nadir. Just wondering. We have recently established that triplet therapy is a good thing to hit PCa with just after diagnosis when the tumours are active and visible on the scans. I am about to get my next bloodwork and expect a PSA near nadir of 0.1. I have one (or more) castrate

GemCarbo (+MVasti) hair loss?
Friday 10/28 was day one of cycle two of this new regimen for me. It's my third round/line of infusion chemo. I was stable for almost two years on Lymparza. I was told to expect not to lose my hair but "maybe" "some" "thinning.". Today my hair is coming out in long groups of strands whenever I touch

Niraparib and hair colouring
Hello All We've had a query through the supportline that we would really value your expertise on please? Someone who finished chemotherapy in April and is now taking niraparib but no other treatment, would like to go back to colouring her hair blonde but she's concerned about the risk to her hair.

Prostate Cancer-Thoughts
My husband was diagnosed in January 2020 with prostate cancer that had metastasized to his bones. His PSA was 30 and after the biopsy it was 130. He has had radiation three different times, Firmagon, Zytiga and Prednisone. His testosterone is low and his PSA did get as low as 2 but then started rising

Looking for Other alt options for FNHL
Was diagnosed in 2009 with Stg 4 FNHL (age 42) with 3 B symptoms. Did R-Chop and was clear after 3 treatments but did a total of 6.. no radiation needed, but ended up with neuropathy in my smaller muscles and short term memory issues. It came back 4.5 years later and opted to go to Alt Treatment in

6 Docetaxel Treatments vs. 10 Docetaxel Treatments?
I have been diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer. After 6 Docetaxel treatments, my PSA has dropped from the high 40s to 1.8. I am also on Lupron. My recent pet scan showed one of my lymph node "spots" had reduced by approximately 2/3 (11mm to 4mm). Another lymph node "spot" had shrunk by approximately

On Triplicate Therapy, Docetaxel, MO has made no suggestion to do PSMA Scan, CT Scan or MRI to see if treatment is working.
Diagnosed By PSA Score 942.40 July 2022 Advance Metastatic Prostate Cancer with Ductal subtype with focal cribform architecture in carcinoma (it is rare, unfortunately aggressive) 4 cores out of 15 with another questionable core with necrosis and questionable atypical cells Stage 4 Gleason

The RO - Dr. Mariscal, whom I met a few years ago at a ZERO 5k in Bakersfield, wants an MRI guided biopsy first. Then he can see if there's anything actionable🤔 I then went up to the chemo floor and was able to get seen an hour 1/2 earlier. So, depending on when I can get that biopsy, the radiation

Pluvicto (Lu177) side effects... please hydrate!
I thought about posting this a few days ago, and the recent post on chemo by AlvinSD reminded me to do it. It's been a full week since I did my 5th Pluvicto infusion, and I am still suffering from some side effects. Some of those SEs are new to this infusion, some are ones I experienced after prior sessions
