An involvement opportunity for UK patients who've had liver or kidney damage as a result of chemotherapy - online/in person AI workshop
UCL researchers are working to others to develop an AI tool to determine who may be at greater risk of damage from chemotherapy. They'd like to hear from patients/carers who've experienced kidney or liver damage during treatment if they're available for a workshop next week. More details here...

Anyone had chemo without surgery?
Hi, everyone, I am new on here. I was diagnosed with high grade ovarian cancer one year ago. I have had one line of chemo of Paclitaxil and Carboplatin to which I responded fairly well. My CA 125 at diagnosis was just under 20,000 and went down to 88 post chemo. I must stress that I was unable to have

Ac-225 results and next steps
My husband traveled to Turkey mid-January to receive Ac-225 after Pluvicto failed. In spite of high PSMA uptake and no discordance, treatment failed as the widespread disease burden was too great. His liver mets in particular has grown exponentially since August when it was first seen immediately prior

Letrozole
Hi everyone, I just wondered about the side effects of Letrozole. I had 7mm bc removed via lumpectomy, due to have radiotherapy soon, no chemo required. I am really struggling with the possible side effects of this drug. I know we are all individuals but just wondered if side effects are as hideous as

VENCLEXTA’s impact
Hello everyone, I wanted to ask others their experience with VenClexta and memory loss. I am in month 10 and it is overwhelming the forgetfulness that I am experiencing. Your mind asks tje question is it permanent ? it’s a bit frightening. I have faced chemo many times as a 25 year CLL survivor

I'm a Teenager 13 years on
Today is my 13th anniversary of the day I completed treatment and started the long road to recovery. They removed my final chemo pump and took out the pic line I had had for 8 months. I'm very grateful to be here and thank everyone who has supported and been with me on this site. It's nice to post

Looking for support - glioblastoma
Hi, My 72 year old wife was recently diagnosed with a grade 4 glioma / glioblastoma. Short history is one hospital wanted to dive right in and do surgery. A 2nd opinion initially ruled it as inoperable after a biopsy. Then they did some tests to determine viability of an "awake" surgical resection.

The human microbiome and its link in prostate cancer risk and pathogenesis
I know that many of you may have probably already read this study but I found the perspective fascinating. It supports the theory that what one eats does matter. Certain diets can cause inflammation and an imbalance of the microbiome in the gut, which may impact risk for developing and/or encouraging

String-y Mucous problems anyone?
Hello everyone Five years ago I had a trans-hiatal oesophagectomy following an endoscopy which revealed high-grade dysplasia cells. (I was being monitored after chemo/radiotherapy for SCC in my oesophagus in 2015) I elected for surgery rather than take the very real risk that the cells would become

P-Afib from cancer treatment causes different part of heart to misfire.
Hello Everyone,So I was diagnosed with P-Afib nearly 7 years ago. Beta blockers were a disaster and made me exceedingly ill.....Once on a calcium channel blocker, Verapamil, things however settled down.
