question about going to Mayo
we have an appointment to see Dr Sartor at Mayo but my husband has read Dr Kwon helps refer patients out of the country for Actinium 225. We saw Dr Sartor when he was at Tulane. Will we be able to discuss Atinium w Dr Sartor or should we also try to see Dr Kwon? What’s the appropriate etiquette?

After 2 Nuclear Ligand treatments should I still have severe bone pain in my lower back?
My SO was diagnosed last year with stage 4 Prostate cancer. Although his PSA never went extremely high (8.0) his Gleason scores were two 8's and a 9. The cancer when diagnosed consumed his complete prostate and was found in the vertebras of his neck, shoulder and shoulder socket plus his pelvis and

What exactly does fasting mean?
I understand that fasting for a couple days before chemo and a day after can reduce side effects significantly. But what does fasting mean? Does it mean nothing at all to eat or drink (except water) during those days, or does it mean some kind of limited eating? Thanks.

Silly Questions??
1) Why do some advanced prostate cancer patients get offered "vacations", from ADT and others don't? 2) Why do some advanced prostate cancer patients have NO Chemo, and go directly to ADT + Abiraterone+Prednisone, while others begin treatment with chemo and radiation? What are the deciding criteria

Surgery etc.
Hi All, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 OC in May 2023 with the cancer migrated into my colon. I had been feeling unwell for 6 months and was assured by my doctor in February that it was acid reflux. This was despite my mentioning I have gynaecological issues in the family. The symptoms were bizarre

Chemo in Tablet Form
Morning everyone I was diagnosed with high grade serous ovarian cancer in 2020. I have gone through all the various chemo treatments available (pacitaxol, carboplatin, Caelyx, Gemcitabine, Niraparib and a trial. I was hoping to go on another trial but due to plural effusion, collapsed lung etc unfortunately

Questions After SBRT Treatment
Hello Everyone, MO told me to do Pluvicto After SBRT Treatment 2nd MO told me to do Chemo after the SBRT Treatment, so I am glad I did not go to the third MO, lol. What's the best thing to do after SBRT? My choice is PROVENGE. It also looks tricky to convince MO.

New to the form
hello, My mum sent me this information with the hopes that I can find support and information as I’m starting out my journey. I had been having irregular periods and lower back pain for a few months. I would take medication and just push on. In December, I had such severe pain I called my husband

Scan shows spreading despite chemo but surgery going ahead..confused 🤔
Hello alI I have stage 4 clear cell carcinoma, had a scan this week and got the results today. My gynae nurse said she could only tell me what was written on a scrap bit of paper which left me with more questions than answers (not impressed with this). I will call again next week but meantime wondered

Hi ladies So….. I had my scan results from 23rd December yesterday . I was told by Onc nurse that the cancer was stable ( it is inoperable) My CA125 at diagnosis back in March 23 was 9000 but during chemo treatment there was a steady decline and prior to the scan it stood at 2000. I don’t understand

Fear of Cancer Recurrence
Hello, I am currently suffer from extreme health anxiety over the fear that my skin cancer will reoccur. I have had three small spots of skin cancer removed in the last year and at 45 I’m terrified that I won’t live much longer. None of them have been melanoma, so that is a little good news. And

Any insight into # platinum chemo cycles?
So I'm about to start cisplatinum + etoposide chemo cycles on wed. next week for NECP/SCCP. The first irritant I have of which I'm sure will not be the only one is: I have no idea what the treatment plan is, I don't know how many cycles I'm scheduled for and what the treatment goal is. Researching

Have you experience of Chemotherapy and underactive thyroid?
I have recently completed chemo following surgery for a bowel tumour. I was wondering if anyone has experience of chemotherapy and underactive thyroid? I have continued to take 75 T4 and 20 T3. It’s difficult to know if the fatigue / sleep problems are to do with the thyroid or chemo. many thanks.

Anemia
I've been dealing with anemia since I was on Xeloda which stopped working. The next chemo my onc tried was the worst and I spent most of January sitting in a chair, because all the side effects made my anemia a lot worse. I stopped the last chemo, but I'm still dealing with the anemia. Has anyone

2 months on Olaparib and my CA125 has risen
I started taking Olaparib about 2 months ago. The first month was pretty rough but the second month much better. When I started Olaparib, my CA-125 was 19 about 5 weeks after my 6 rounds of chemo after being in remission for about 6 years. I responded really well to the chemo (I am BRAC2) and I was

Xeloda Anxiety
I was supposed to begin Xeloda today. For some reason, I am paranoid. First, I'm thinking my dose is too high. I weigh 168 pounds, 5’4” and my team has me scheduled to take 2000 mg twice a day. I think that’s a lot. Anyone else similar in size to me taking this high of a dose? Am I just paranoid. I
