I've been dealing with anemia since I was on Xeloda which stopped working. The next chemo my onc tried was the worst and I spent most of January sitting in a chair, because all the side effects made my anemia a lot worse. I stopped the last chemo, but I'm still dealing with the anemia. Has anyone else had this problem, and what has their onc done about it.

hi -I am so sorry that u are experiencing this anemia - I had this low iron & low vit B12 in December & part of January. I never had it before & I thought that I was dealing with something else. It kept getting worse & I began to think that I was dying as I just felt so awful’ I was having trouble staying vertical . To add to the difficulties I was in Mexico as I felt that I would be better in the sun-stupid’’. Fortunately a clinic in Manzanillo fixed me up-shots & vitamins.. I feel fine now. Insist on an infusion -get that iron up-‘ I really don’t know why they don’t warn us about this. Take care Lou Anne
