Hello everyone, this is my first post on here and I was just wondering if anybody had the same experience as me - I will try and keep the story concise, but any advice/comments would really be appreciated! I'm 18 years old and just finished my A levels - since November last year i would occasionally

Any help/advice will be welcome.
Having read loads of helpful info on here, I thought I would ask for advice. Background: Jan 2016: felt ill, tired, as though developing flu/cold. Gave it 10 days, no improvement or obvious illness, booked GP appt. Blood tests: TSH 7.5 (0.3-3.94) FT4 13.9 (12.3-20.2) high cholesterol low sodium

Gabapentin augmentation??
Hi you lovely people. At the end of April I reduced gabapentin from 1200mg to 900 mg (because of the brain fog, wooziness and balance problems I was experiencing) to 300mg gabapentin at 9pm then 600mg at around 11 pm. I also take 250mg magnesium in the mornings and 28mg iron at night on an empty stomach

severe Pain
Hi All,I’m new on this page so please bear with me. My GP after a blood test recommended I take Ferrous Sulfate 200mg per day. Well I suffer chronic stomach pains, and have done for over 10yrs,to which I’m not entirely sure why, however that would take to long to go into. I’ve had the tablets now

Living with Fibromyalgia
Good day. Its great hearing that I'm not the only one living with this awful condition. Some days I feel normal and the next useless. What happened?! I was always happy to be busy and take on jobs. Help at school. A business woman. Ran my own home bakery. My children are still young and need

do inactive ingredients such as magnesium in my Lexapro decrease synthroid absorption?
do I need to separate Lexapro at least four apart from synthroid due to inactive ingredients such magnesium, aluminum, titanium. Is that why my thyroid want stabilize because I am taking to close together?

ROPINIROLE IS THE DEVIL FOR SURE!
First developed RLS years ago, but didn’t even know it was a condition. I thought I was simply going off my head, until a nurse in hospital noticed the uncontrollable violent thrashing id do with my right leg (initially). She told me to go to GP when I was discharged and tell him about this unbearable

ferrous sulphate giving me terrible stomach cramps
I'm really struggling with stomach cramps from ferrous sulphate.. my gp originally had me on 200g 3 times per day... when my level rose from 17 to 60 he said to stop taking them. Within a week my ferritin had dropped to 38 so I'm back to taking just 200g once a day. Has anyone else tried ferogloblin

Sense-check, Hashi Swings, and inability to lose weight
I just wanted to sense check my plan for optimising my health, considering my latest blood tests have arrived. So scroll down to blood tests, as first, I am providing all sorts of contexts for reference. In short, I have Hashimotos and have been testing at least twice per year with Medichecks. Bio

Depressed and desperate
I haven’t written in a while but I read all of the comments. New neurologist who aligns with the mayo clinic philosophy. After a painful weaning off of pramipexole I was actually doing great on 1200 mg of gabapentin and .50 mg of clonazepam. I take oral iron and my ferritin level is around 52, which

magnesium hydroxide. et al.
what is this exactly? I’ve been trying to get my head round the “57 varieties of magnesium” available in fizzy water, vitamin tablets etc. etc. I’ve read copious articles in this Forum and elsewhere but am none the wiser I’m ‘fraid. Has anyone got An Idiots Guide to Magnesium? Thanks.

Maybe found some clues in bottled water
I think I have worked out why some bottled water upsets my IBS (D) and some doesn't. All mineral water has some natural bicarbonate. The waters that seem okay for me, I noticed have lower bicarb levels, and the ones that can upset me have much higher levels. I also found out that sodium bicarbonate

Blood test results and thoughts on why I feel rubbish please (long post for help)
Hi folks I feel pants. I have been feeling pants for many months/probably 2 years with all of the symptoms below and it is now being made worse by the after effects of Covid which I had a month ago. The questions I have are.... What else can I do or take to feel a bit better again? Has anyone else

Low ferritin question
Hi. Would be grateful for advice. My (adult) daughter had always suffered from anaemia to some extent. Last year her B12 came back at 119 and she had a course of injections. Recently she had been feeling weak, tired and with palpitations and tachycardia, so had blood tests. B12 was 300 and ferritin
