hi there,

I posted the other day about adding in 25mg of levo (tirisont) to my 1 grain armour. It turns out I am not Over medicated in-fact I am under so need an increase.

I have got such bad extreme fatigue and body aches and I have only felt this bad since adding in the levo. I had really bad fatigue, body aches and hair loss before but it has got progressively worse.

I do take magnesium and have just order COQ10 enzymes & heme iron to help with the fatigue.

Any help would be appreciated.

So you have retested too soon

Suggest you try increasing levothyroxine to 50mcg and wait 6-8 weeks before testing

Never take iron supplements without getting full iron panel test first

You can have low ferritin and high iron

Thank you. I posted the RT3 test a few weeks after it was done. I think I worked out it was 7 weeks in between that test and this one. However I did increase levo and test only 3 weeks after because I felt so dreadful.

I have had a coeliac test that came out as negative but I am completely gluten free as I have poor gut health at the moment. I will see if I can find my nhs bloods that were done recently in regards to iron.

In week before blood test, when you stop vitamin B complex, you might want to consider taking a separate methyl folate supplement and a separate B12

The iron and ferritin confuses me. What is the difference? Between the iron stores and ferritin?

Thank you for all your help. It is always much appreciated as I feel a bit lost with all of this at the moment.

This is quite a reasonable explanation:

irondisorders.org/iron-leve...

(I know it is in the USA. And I know there are lots of adverts for iron tests. But it is better than most.)

Are you on strictly gluten free diet

If not get coeliac blood test done before trialing cutting gluten out
