As in my previous post, I took Gabapentin 5 nights and I feel shakey and my nerves raw. How can I get this crap out of my body faster? I tried an Epsom salts bath but doesn't feel much better if any. Also I am terrified in what to take for sleep and pain tonight. My doctor prescribed tramodol but it I am afraid of it also because it is addictive and will it even make me sleep ?
What to do next: As in my previous post, I... - Cure Parkinson's
What to do next
have you tried strong chamomile tea?
Nothing natural works anymore. I made the big mistake out of desperation of taking a sleeping pills a while back and it's the only thing that works but it has developed tolerance and I need more ...I am terrified
would it be possible to drink as much liquid as you can tolerate over a several hour period?
I know that if you drink too much liquid too quickly it can be very dangerous but maybe if it was continuous and over a several hour period ?
"Because of the way gabapentin is metabolized, the dosage may have less of an effect on the length of time the drug remains in the system compared to how dosages can alter the elimination time for many other drugs. Even so, taking very high doses of gabapentin could lead to longer elimination times for the drug.
Other factors affect the elimination of gabapentin from the body. The age of the person can affect this process, with older individuals experiencing longer elimination times than younger individuals. Differences in kidney functioning would obviously affect the elimination time of the drug. In addition, the person’s body mass index or weight would affect the elimination time for gabapentin, with heavier people eliminating it more quickly.
Finally, hydration could conceivably speed up the elimination of gabapentin from an individual’s system since the drug is primarily metabolized in the kidneys and eliminated through the urine. More frequent urination could conceivably speed up the process of elimination of the drug."
have you tried clonazapam, very low dose
I have tried both of those and like neither. They both made me sleep for nearly 12 hours and tired and foggy when I was awake. After taking tramadol the night before I went to have breakfast with a friend. I poured coffee on my crepes because the coffee urn was larger, but the same shape as the syrup carafes. My doctor pressured me to try both of them.
What works pretty well for me is two tablets of ashwaganda from the CVS vitamin section. I have checked for interactions. Side effects etc. Only mild stomach irritation with excessive dose amounts has been reported. Also, 15 minutes of exercise that significantly increases my heart rate about an hour before I go to sleep and I set up an audio book or classical or jazz music to run at low volume and I fall asleep listening. When I’m really upset I like to listen to a classical ensemble specializing in post modern classical a cappella. It unwinds the upset and I have good dreams. Essentially, you prevent the brain from keeping itself awake worrying about things that you can’t do anything about, at least until morning.
Over the counter Sominex always works for my husband but he never takes more than half of one.
in yoga class I learned to clench and contract every body part, then let go. I practice gratitude reminding myself that the nurses who cared for me while hospitalized have to work intense thirteen hour shifts while I get to rest if not sleep in my comfortable bed . I do take 10 mg of Melatonin.
I don’t really have any additional advice. I just wanted to let you know that I am praying for you today.
