Hi All I am new to this site and thought I should make a post. 2 years ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, have just completed 2 years of immunotherapy, one treatment every 3 weeks. The consultant says I have responded really well for someone aged 78 but unfortunately during the last few years

Stem cell transplant anniversary
It is now exactly 12 months almost to the minute since I watched the bag of stem cells slowly drain into the Hickman line. It's been a very eventful 12 months to say the least. Since my last post 9 months ago I had a difficult end to 2019. I was hospitalised for pneumonia in October which turned out

Lung surgery
Hi, I am just joining the group today, I was diagnosed with lung cancer in February and it is T200 adenocarcinoma, I had 60% of my right lung removed on March 19th and have been told now that the lung left behind may still have tuma cells. I have opted to go back into surgery next week for the rest

Social distancing whilst having treatment
Stage 4 lung cancer. Hello I am having chemotherapy and immunatherapy for my cancer, cycle 1 was given at the chemo unit in the main hospital, however cycle 2 was moved to the Helena Rollason centre which is in a separate building, this made sense to keep all cancer patients away from the main hospital

Steps to become a carer for my sister
My sister is having chemotherapy for lung cancer and is self-isolated in her flat in London. I want to be able to go there to be her carer. What steps do I need to take to make myself 'clean' enough to be able to do that under the current coronavirus lockdown restrictions - like how long would I need

My Mum Part 2
Hello I recently posted after my mum was diagnosed with Stage 3b lung cancer. She saw the oncologist for her first appointment today who explained that her biopsy results show that she has NSCLC Adenocarcinoma (sp?). They have told her that it is T4, N3, M0. Whilst I know it is good that she hasn't any

Liver Transplant - coronavirus Wales
There will no doubt be a number of people out there who have had a liver transplant, and who are still expecting to receive a letter from the government informing them that they are on the, "high at risk" scale, due to their bodies immune system being turned down. It would appear that some of these

Anyone following a specific diet after kidney transplant??
Hello. I am curious if anyone is following a specific diet after their transplant? I know we can eat everything (except grapefruit in my case due to tacro interaction), but after my creatinine increased, I have started a soft vegetarian diet (no meat but seafood and light dairy is okay). Vegetarian,
