Thanks to this website.
Hi all, today I had my 6th
Lucentis
injection, the first 4 left me in total misery so I asked why when I went for my 5th injection only to be told it was probably just me.

Consultant says "jury is out"
a reaction to
Lucentis
? I made a decision that regardless of the consequences I could not continue with a treatment that I could not tolerate. I take a daily supplement have begun to deal with my stress levels through CBT.

Hi Newbie Here! Starting treatment next week and I'm slightly nervous!
I have now got a date to start treatment (3rd January, either Avastin/
Lucentis
or Eyelea according to the letter from the hospital). I can't say that i'm looking forward to having the injections - are they as bad as i'm imagining? Will I be able to drive the next day?

Contacts lenses/eye drops instead of injections
Hi there just thought just in case you don't know that much research is happening at the moment about how different methods can be used to give drugs that need to be absorbed in the eye such as
lucentis
, avasrin and eylea instead of using an injection .Research into using contact lenses and or eye drops

About me
Now, 6 1/2 years on I receive
Lucentis
injections. I had my 59th a few days ago. Due to the high risk of metatseses, secondaries, I undergo 6 monthly MRI scans with contrast and weighting at the Experimental Cancer Research Centre in Southampton General Hospital.

Pseudoxamthoma Elasticum
I'm 29 years old and have had 27
lucentis
injections. It started about 2 years ago when I was having flashing lights in my peripheral visions. It had turned into 2 large blind spots in both eyes.

Help alleviate pain after Lucentis injection
Make sure that they irrigate your eye well after the injection in order to remove all betadine or iodine. Also wearing an eye pad to prevent blinking can help avoid discomfort.

First post, new member.
Just had my first
Lucentis
injection. Have been told to stop playing my cornet/trumpet because of pressure. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and will it be permanent or just a temporary blip?

After 3 Lucentis injections
I have had 3
Lucentis
injections, and had a check recently. The results were amazing! I saw the before and after photos of my retina. My sight in my eye is almost back to normal. All that is left is just a tiny blind spot, just below my central vision.

It's a waiting game now
Either inj working but eye producing more or fluid is old and
Lucentis
no longer doing its job. Only way to know is to leave it 6-8 weeks, check again. He says if
Lucentis
not working will give me Eylea but it's not yet okd by Nice for brvo. Hopefully they will in October so timing just right lol.

Well the wait is over !
Consultant decided to give me 3 more
Lucentis
. He said they had never seen such rapid swelling -ha ha always knew I was special ! Must say, I did get worried on the eye chart test when all was a big blurry mess -never been that bad in last 2 years.

Lucentis Treatment/Macular Degeneration/Warfarin
Has anybody had the
Lucentis
injections/treatment for Degeneration etc. I have had 2 retinal vein occlusions that have left me with Mac.Deg. I keep an INR 3-4, having had the 2nd RVO when my INR was over 3.00. However the eye Clinic are not the least concerned about my INR.

Update
I'm not sure if he mentioned
Lucentis
, or if I assumed this as I don't know of anything else used by NHS. The other doctor I usually see hasn't mentioned anything about the treatment not working as well as they hoped. This has come as a very big disappointment as you can imagine.
