Lucentis

I've had myopic macular degeneration a couple of years ago and had a course of 10 Lucentis injections which arrested it. Just recently I'm getting what 'feels' like a sudden black shado appearing in the lowere visiopn of the affected eye. Any thoughts on what this might be?

Left eye first for about 2 yrs injected age 60 with lucentis and then eyelea. It has remain dry after treatment @ 9yrs. Then my Right eye became wet and I could see the bleeding shadow on the amsler grid. This eye has had more injections and has had cataract surgery when it was dry during pandemic.

I started with Lucentis medicine than changed to Eyelea and changed again to Ongavia, I have now been asked to change to Vybismo medicine. My question is are there more side effects with Vybismo and what are your opinion about this medicine. I will very much appreciate your response.

hey, just had the first Lucentis injection in my “good eye”. I only had three injections before and I never experienced something like this - the white looks like jelly and is swollen. I called the clinic but they did not tell me to come for a check - I should sleep on it.

My story briefly - BRVO in 2016. 10 injections of lucentis plus 6 laser treatments at BMEC.Transferred to local hospital where I received 6 more lucentis then swopped to Eyelea now had 5 of these. Went to clinic today to be told my vision is stable but my eye is not responding to treatment??

Hi all I have had injections monthly since 2011 for DMO I had Avastin then Lucentis and then since 2016 Eylea. Last Saturday I was switched to Faricimab it’s def thicker than Eylea.

I have been getting Eleyea and now Lucentis injections for the last 8 years and this is keeping my vision stable in my right eye. My left eye is fine.

I currently still have quite blurred vision in my left eye following a sequence of 10 Lucentis injections during 2021. I am now in a stable / 'watching brief' phase of 6 week visits to the eye clinic. (My wet AMD has significantly reduced / disappeared).

waiting for my surgery my left eye had a a bit of floaters and on the 08/03/2018 I was assaulted and my right eye had 2 retinal tears and a submacular hamrioge.My Opthamolist diognosed me with myopic cnv and advised me that the assault may have caused further damage.I had 2 lasted surgeries and three lucentis

I’m currently in the ‘watching brief’ phase after a series of 10 Lucentis injections in my left eye. Over the past month, I’ve noticed a number of small black floaters and intermittent blurriness in the affected eye.

getting my first injection at the lucentis clinic next week and also having a fundus fluorescein angiogram next week! Newly diagnosed! Any tips please?!

Hi guys, I am due to have my lucentis injection tomorrow (right eye WMD, left dry MD). I also have the symptoms of a UTI. I get them regularly due a kidney disease I have.

Getting Eyelea injections for two years and now Dr. is trying Lucentis. I am so tired after the injection. Does this happen to anyone else?

Since then I’ve had 8 shots of Lucentis in my right eye and 3 shots in my left. The journey has been full of ups and downs so far. At this point I am a bundle of fear, anxiety, and depression. I have a therapist and good support system, but ultimately I feel alone.

After treatment (18 months and 10 Lucentis injections) for what I’d assumed was ‘age related’ MD, a consultant today told me, no, it was ‘myopic’ MD. I’ve always (since teens) been extremely short sighted so maybe no surprise there.

I have had injections of all the drugs used for AMD: Lucentis, Avastin and Eyelea. Of the three, my experience after more than 40 injections is that Eyelea was the least effective. At present I’m having Lucentis in the left eye and Avastin in the right eye, for reasons that only NICE can explain!

He immediately gave me a shot of Lucentis and I am going back in four weeks for another shot. He was hopeful that the shots will stop further damage and could reverse the damage that occurred.

I have had wet AMD for over ten years, treated with injections of Lucentis that have stopped the condition getting worse - so I can still drive. This Tuesday I detected a sub-retinal bleed in my best eye. I decided not to take the Apixaban that evening, nor the next day.

Hey, I was diagnosed w Myopic CNV a bit more than a month ago and had two Lucentis shots in the affected eye. OCT showed that the drug works but my eyesight is not really kmproving, rather I see “double” and have real issues reading and working on screen longer than 30 minutes.
