Would t3 benefit me? Latest bloods
hi, I have hashinotos and take 125mcg of thyroxine. I don’t feel great. I’ve just started a gluten free diet and take iron and folate as both were low. I’ve been taking them for 8 weeks and have just had the levels tested so can share all those results when I have them. I wondered if t3 may help me

Instead I’ve decided to try a high
protein
low
fibre
diet
. Google seems to suggest this is best after bowel surgery. Protein to help heal and low fibre so less bull to go through the bowels. I have Laxido twice a day to help aswell. Guess I just need time.

Does peak flow increase in non asthmatics following ventolin?
Say someone has no classic symptoms of asthma (wheezing, breathlessness or coughing). Peak flow has always been low their whole life but has a small variation everyday (290- 330). Spirometry is normal (including above average fev1). No change in peak flow following a 5 week steroid inhaler trial. Can

Probiotics and Peak Flow Improvement
Hi folks, I want to share this experience I am having with taking probiotics, which has been hugely beneficial to me. I started taking probiotics to help my digestive system, which was constantly angry and uncomfortable and absolutely nothing to do with my asthma. Probiotics can replace your gut microbes

Costochondritis
I had a bad cough with a chest infection (in my opinion). The third time this year. On previous 2 occasions, I was given 30mg pred per day for 5 days and an antibiotic, and chest cleared each time. I have been in contact with covid, but have not had +ve test. This time I was not given, I was refused

Tezepelumab/Spirometry with Reversibility
Hi, hope everyone is managing well. I’m just looking to hear others experiences if possible. I’m quite complex and don’t show a high FeNO and spirometry is normal and my asthma is driven by neutrophils for inflammation. Best peak flow is 440, hovering around 220-350 - 220 is pre meds in the morning

Blood results
Hello, I know I have asked for advice before but wanted to clarify please. My recent bloods have been re-tested ;- I have Hashimoto's and on 100 of Levothyroxine. TSH - 4.6 (0.27-4.2) FT4-25.6 (12-22) T3- 3.0 (3.1-6.8) The Doctor says these are abnormal and not borderline as they were before Christmas

Is it possible to have a wheeze but not have asthma?
I don’t have an official diagnosis of asthma but 3 times when I have been running strangers have told me that I have been wheezing. The most prominent example was 4 years ago I was running a 3 mile race and a girl who I didn’t know was overtaking me and as she went past said ‘are you ok, do you have

Covid or chest infection?
I started with covid at the weekend. The last few days I've had a chesty cough, and today it's producing thick yellow mucus. My peak flow is low, I have on and off tightness, especially after coughing & SoB. Before covid, my asthma hadn't be that controlled, but I hadn't got so far as seeing the GP.

There Is Hope For CKD — My Story
At first I went on a very
protein
diet
and bought (very expensive) Albutrix supplements. I drank lots of water and was barely eating any protein. I cut out meat altogether and just ate vegetables and fruit in an effort to curtail the decreasing kidney function.

LDN and PMR
Almost three months into my use of low-dose naltrexone, in hopes of replacing prednisone eventually, I have learned that the power of LDN to combat inflammation, while real, is much less than prednisone, so that at 10mg of prednisone, LDN's ability to replace or even significantly supplement the steroid

Gluten-free diet for picky eaters?
I have celiac disease and my 5 year old was recently diagnosed with it. He also has autism so he's very picky about textures in food and has a limited amount of things that he will eat before his diagnosis. His favorite right now is avocado toast, but he won't eat any gluten-free bread I've found (and

Retested: low D & B12, high ferritin
I have retested with medicheck because I'm in the queue to see a private endocrinologist about my symptoms. I was hoping that treating my vitamins and minerals may give a different thyroid hormone picture. Iron 239ug/L (range 30-150) I am under haematology, treated for iron deficiency anaemia. Tested

Recently diagnosed - help request to understand test results
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in February and prescribed Levothyroxine 50mg per day. My February blood tests resulted in a diagnosis of Hashimoto's Disease and an increase to 100mg per day. My GP told me that my latest test results (18.04.23) show that my thyroid is normal and I'm negative for
