Another interesting insight from a doctor - this time Dr Nadir Ali at a âlow carb down underâ conference.
This doctor has realised that the medical profession needs to listen to its knowledgeable patients in order to make progress. Yay!! Here is his first slide. The last word - on the next slide - is âbuggy whippedâ. For anyone interested in the benefits of a low carb high fat diet, and the reasons why

Recipes for fatty liver?
Hello. My husband was just diagnosed with fatty liver. All the Dr. said was to eat a low fat diet and that it can be reversed. He still has to have a flex scan done and he has an appointment with a dietitian next week. But I was wondering if anyone has some recipes or ideas for food until his appointment

I've spent May and June having one flare-up after another... four weeks on prednisolone and, once I'd weaned off it, I had another bout of asthma... So now my dr has referred me (which will take months for the appt to come through) and recommended that I up my Symbicort to 8 puffs daily then gradually

Low-Carb Diet, Gut Microbiome, Leaky Gut, etc.
New study from the CAPS2 (Carbohydrate and Prostate Study 2) team. led by Steve Freedland. "Accumulating evidence suggest a role of gut microbiota in urologic health including prostate cancer (PC), potentially via its impact on intestinal permeability (IP). When the gut microbiota community is disrupted

Current guesses (borrowed from several articles, papers, and studies). I'm seeing a pattern. Comments?
Over the last few months, I've been noticing some trends, and as I spent another nearly sleepless night reading and watching videos, some of the pieces seem to be fitting together. In short, it seems that more and more theories and studies are focusing on mitochondria. In particular, a "biochemical defect
