Hi all, I need advice please - I started on LDN 2 nights ago & it’s given me depression & chronic tiredness. I have Hashi’s & UC as well as ME so didn’t feel too good to begin with but LDN has made everything much worse. Can anyone let me know if these side effects are normal & will go away? Thank

Confused about ratios and portion sizes
I have been trying LCHF for 3 weeks now, but I am still confused about ratios of carbs, protein and fat and how many g I should be having. Should I be calorie counting? How do I know if I'm doing it right? I have bought a book with lots of recipes, but can I ave any lunch with any dinner or do I have

Doing a peakflow, causing tight throat
Hi all Just curious really does anyone get a tight throat after they have done their best of 3 on the peak flow? I don't always get it but more often than not I will. Was wondering if that's normal with asthma Regards

Cauliflower £3 each?!
Local greengrocer didn't have any cauliflower, but just as I was leaving his colleague walked in with a box. The price? £3! Apparently the price at market jumped up to £15/box. Lemons have similarly gone from £16 to £25 a box wholesale. I wonder if low-carb panic buyers have created this demand? I imagine

Peak flow
I was wondering if most of you keep track of your peak flow levels? Is it something important?

Female High Peak Flow
My peak flow (female aged 64) is 550, well within the male range when the charts say I should be at around 390. I'm curious as to why this would be and what are the implications, good bad or indifferent. I have only recently started using a peak flow meter due to a tight chest and breathlessness. Goodness

Lunch Today
Today for lunch, I had tuna mixed with hummus, 3 stuffed grape leaves and some chips that had lots of protein in them. It was a very low carb. meal (37 total carbs.). Very good!:-)

90 second keto bread 👍 👍 👍
I've been jonesing for bread and butter for a while. I went low carb early December, and have only had bread once since, on Christmas day. I have been having lucid dreams about eating slice after slice thickly buttered white bloomer doorsteps. The dreams have been nearly erotic. Previously I had pooh-poohed

Am I getting the right help for my asthma?
Do I need different help for my asthma? I am on symbicort 4 puffs daily. My peak flow is ok but can vary a bit. But every morning I have congestion and productive cough which leaves me shaking. I have never smoked. I have wondered about silent GERD and bronchiecstasis but doctors dont ever follow up

FEV1/Peak Flow
I have severe asthma and been on and off steroids for a month now due to a flare up, been feeling poorly again today after tapering them off and think I'll have to re-start them again, but just done my FEV1 on my little Vitolagraph monitor I bought off Amazon and while my FEV1 has come down since last

Very worried and in fear
How do I know if it’s silent reflux/ heartburn/panic attack or the darn “thing”. Unwell and funky things happening since mid March. I’m now on anti biotics as sore throat and inner ears and precautionary in case it’s strep (1st dose has made me feel sick and acidy). Friday changed my lanzoprazole for

peak flow
Anyone noticed sometimes they are tight chested, peak flow still classed as 'green' and salbutamol helps, but sometimes doesn't last the 4 hrs? I've been advised that as my peak flow hasn't dropped more than 20% I shouldn't be using my inhaler as its likely not asthma causing the band around my lungs

Don’t know what to do anymore 😢
Hello all, I will try to keep my post short(ish) but basically, I used to work away from home and progressively, certain aspects of my health deteriorated in the final year. Eyesight went extremely bad, weight gain, allergies and ENT issues but the worst was a cough and coughing fits and chest tightness

Lifelong asthmatic
Hi, I'm a lifelong asthmatic and until fairly recently didn't realise that my asthma is severe. It also seems that I probably have bronchiectasis - diagnosis incomplete due to the advent of coronavirus. What I don't understand is why some medical people are not concerned about when my peak flow drops

Just joined and am looking forward to being a member of this dynamic forum:-) I just turned 50 (woman) and was diagnosed with Hashimoto´s in January 2001 right before I turned 31. Peak flow questions
Hi all, just wondering how others are measuring their peak flow/getting on with this... - Do you use the standard peak flow meter (as pictured) or an electronic version? - And which chart do you tend to use to track your target peak flow against your age & height (if this is something you do)? I know

Tiromel not helping
Hi, I am from the US and I know this is a UK forum, but there seems to be some really good information on here. I’ve been trying to get to the bottom of some health issues that have been plaguing me for the last year. I went on a very strict low carb diet for about a year and a half and felt amazing
