concerned about stomach and diarrhoea
I have cirrhosis of liver not through alcohol, and now secondary bone cancer. Haven’t had to use lactulose because of getting diarrhoea. So.ndering whether it’s the food I eat? The blander the better I feel, or is my liver getting worse. So fed up with it all. And haven’t even started the cancer treatment

Contradictory information
So I'm just trying to understand and I'm not trying to be anal, but I find a lot of contradictions even here. These statements were made by PBCRobert. 8 years ago: There is much uncertainty when it comes to what constitutes a diagnosis of PBC. In the main, the concensus is that AMA positive

Loss of Respect for Expertise
[/u] How do we know what is true? None of us has the time or the inclination to test everything for ourselves. We rely on trusted experts to tell us. Few doubt that the heart pumps blood to our lungs and other tissues, although few have seen our hearts do that

I am right at 3 months and still not completely recovered. I had double nephrectomy one day and transplant the next. anyone else have this? It has been a very hard recovery. Every week seems to bring a new problem. I began feeling emotionally drained last week. Struggles there now. My dr. rapidly decreased

. Only things listed were; diabetes, kidney and transplant, weightloss. Nothing about heart although I know there is a heart diet and exercise program, I know of someone who had gone, totally paid for.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in some cases may actually be alcoholic liver disease (ALD).
Perhaps this information has already been published on the forum. It seemed to me very interesting and worthy of attention. Excess fat in the liver cells can accumulate due to chronic poisoning with some substances - and most often this substance is alcohol. But fatty liver disease is very common in

High Ana speckled pattern 1:640
I went to my local health dep. and paid for 2 tests out of pocket. One was for the Ana w/reflex titer and the other was for a Alp isoenzyme. I’m supposed to go see the liver dr. in Dec. and get a fibroscan done. And in the mean time he wanted me to get some tests done by Sep. My finger was fractured

Low Sperm Counts
Hi there. I received a kidney transplant 6 months ago. We want to have one more baby (we had three pre transplant and conceived them very easily) but a recent test showed I pretty much have zero sperm. Has anyone encountered this, and if so, did you find any causes related to kidney transplant...medications

Kidney Transplant Aug 25
What should I bring to the hospital for my 2-night stay? I live in a second-floor apartment. Will I be able to do the stairs? How many immunosuppressants are you on post-transplant, and for how long? I know the Mayo transplant team (Phoenix) will tell me some of this ... I'm just curious about

Travelling on public transport with suspected liver disease/test to diagnose liver disease
Thanks to those who came back to me about this. Much appreciated. I probably wasn't very clear. I'm not asking anyone to try and tell me if they think I have liver disease or not - I appreciate that is very difficult as symptoms seem to vary and tests don't seem very reliable. What I'd like to know

Liver Biopsy and AI
Hello everyone! My initial diagnosis is F3-F4 alcohol-related fibrosis (but they were leaning more towards F4 cirrhosis with 17.8 kPa reading). My antibody markers were continuously high in the past 1.5 years. My doctor suggests liver biopsy to determine if this can be related to AIH at the same time
