Dad has stage 4 cirrhosis
Hi everyone, I have recently found out my dad has stage 4
liver
cirrhosis. He isn't eligle for a
liver
transplant
the doctors said he wouldn't be a candidate ( I think this may be because he has COPD) . I'm just so heart broken and so is my Dad.

Husband’s first Docetaxel, day 4 and struggling
He is on immune suppressants due to a prior
liver
transplant
. He was given Neulasta for the day after Docetaxel(D). His biggest struggle right now is sleeplessness due to discomfort from body aches. This is day 4 after D.

Good news , maybe we don’t have to wait for a
liver
transplant
after all. I didn’t realise that machines existed that can carry out the function of the liver, at this stage they are external like kidney dialysis. Would think you have to hooked up permanently as the liver is always working.

Liver issues and leg pain?
Fairly random question but while I wait for a drs appointment I thought I'd ask....I am awaiting a
liver
transplant
for PSC and I'm getting those dulcit aches in my side that usually indicate imminent cholangitis, but!

New 'cirrhosee' with reading of 75 on Richter scale! H E L P
I would welcome responses from those who have similar condition, but who can enlighten me of the pitfalls that lie ahead and of good news stories of
liver
regeneration or
transplant
options after a 'top' score of 75. What about 'live' donors too?

Transplant Question
I’ve been wondering for awhile if kidney transplants are given once a person is past a certain age? I’m in the U.S. and I have a cousin who had severe liver disease. She was 75 & the state she lived in didn’t perform liver transplants on anyone over 68. I checked with my state, & liver transplants

Doctors perform kidney transplant on awake patient
Doctors at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago have performed a kidney transplant on a patient who was awake the whole time. They say the technique used updated anesthesia methods which may now be used for more patients who would be considered too risky to go fully under, which is the standard

Polycystic Liver Disease
I have PKD and had a kidney transplant 5 years ago - everything has been great I was also subsequently diagnosed with polycystic liver disease. Although my liver is enormous and filled with innumerable cysts, I was asymptomatic until recently and the cysts are now beginning to cause pain. I will,

Post Kidney Transplant
I had a kidney transplant 1 1/2 years ago it took over a year for all my numbers to stabilize to normal. Now I have achy joints and muscles everyday mostly shoulders. Don’t know if it’s the anti rejection drugs or just old age. Never had these issues prior to transplant. I’m an active 64 year old male

perineal myxoid pseudotumor of fat
I have had CKD3B for 7 years. I am 76 years old. I suffered from end stage interstitial cystitis After battling it for 5 years. My ureters would back up fluid into the kidney and cause UTIs and hydrophynosis, landing me in the hospital on IV antibiotics for 5-6 days, 6 times that year. My urologist
