Diagnosed with Non Alcohol Cirrhosis
Hi everyone, I was recently diagnosed with stage 2 non alcoholic cirrhosis and am having a lot trouble accepting my diagnosis. It could be because my dad died of alcohol cirrhosis 21 years ago and I know how bad it can get. I have very few symptoms right now and am just being monitored. I know my prognosis

Fib-4 score 0.66
Hello Everyone, please advise if fib-4 score is same as fibro scan score. Mine is 0.66 or 1 32. I am worried sick about it. It says the score is intermediate. I think I have terry nails, itching and dull pain. Is this mean that I have advanced cirrhosis? My blood test are normal.

Positive outcome with day 5 morula transfer. They are here 😍
Just thought I'd post a wee update here to give hope to others in similar situations. After 4 years of solo fertility treatment including 4 IUI's, low AMH, 5 egg collections, 5 transfers and 2 miscarriages I finally have my miracles. This was the result of my final round of IVF with my own eggs. I

Diet suitable for NAFLD cirrhosis and type 2 diabetics.
Hi, I have been diagnosed with cirrhosis through NAFLD. I have no idea what diet or where to find a diet suitable to follow. Being type 2 doesn't help either. Need carbs for liver, carbs no good for diabetics. Fats such as butter bad for my liver, what should I spread on bread? etc. What should I eat

Rectocele repair surgery
I have been looking and looking for people's experiences of rectocele repair surgery and all I could find was stuff that completely terrified me, so much so I was in two minds whether or not to have the surgery. Basically I'm 38 and have been struggling with my prolapse since the birth of my son 6 years

hello, I’ve been lurking on the site for around 7 months, since my OH was hospitalised in August and we found he had liver cirrhosis. It’s been a challenging few months and he’s been medically retired from work now. We are trying to live life as fully as we can, within his limitations, as many

Elective c section
Hello, I am over 40 years old with my first IVF pregnancy and I am looking into elective c section options. Do you know at what week it is usually scheduled? The midwife only said before 40 weeks but did not go into the specifics… probably as I’m still in the first trimester. Thank you 🙏🏻

high liver enzymes
Hello there. I was wondering if anyone had any experiences or knowledge over what I’m going through right now. Recently I had my blood test done. My ALT,AST, and alkaline phosphates came out super high (131, 89, 146) respectfully. I was struggling with a really bad flu at the time of these tests. Could

Terrys nails
hi there, I’m just wondering if anyone with PBC has experience with Terrys nails? I have it on 5 of my finger nails (2 on one hand and 3 on another). My liver bloods are normal just now except for GGT (112) and my last fibroscan was 5.7 with CAP score of 233. Both AMA and ANA positive but my hepatoligist

Adenomyosis - Bleeding on Decapeptyl
Hello, I am new here and looking for any advice. Since I was 10 and had my first period I have been in excruciating pain every month. After the birth of both my sons via c-section my periods changed and I thought this is amazing. Mild cramping and less bleeding. That didn’t last. When I turned

how often for a Fibroscan
Someone recently asked how often she should get a fibroscan or a MRE ( a more sophisticated scan). In Dr. Jones' book he says after getting one usually upon diagnosis for a baseline, most have one repeated every 1-5 years depending on how active or aggressive the disease is. I strongly encourage everyone

taking Urso
I know some of you have already read the comments on the FB page. The subject of taking Urso, even though it causes so many side effects and ‘doesn’t keep me from dying’, has been brought up. I feel in my heart I need to offer my thoughts. I have been taking Urso for over 35 years. I had PBC for 20

Stabbing pains
I’m in the middle of all my tests - looks like I have (perhaps) fibrosis F2/F3 and severe fatty liver. And some mild portal gastropathy. However it’s a pain in the upper abdomen that’s confusing me. It’s mostly a stabbing sharp pain and sometimes it actually makes me itch - not like on the skin, but
