Stabbing pains

I’m in the middle of all my tests - looks like I have (perhaps) fibrosis F2/F3 and severe fatty liver. And some mild portal gastropathy.

However it’s a pain in the upper abdomen that’s confusing me. It’s mostly a stabbing sharp pain and sometimes it actually makes me itch - not like on the skin, but feels like inside! I could also describe it as stinging or burning? And I haven’t had them for a while but in the past I’ve had shooting pains from that area. It’s mainly where you’d expect liver pain to be - under the right ribs and around under the arm/to the side. But sometimes it will just stab me on my left side out of nowhere!

I have had ultrasounds that say I have fatty liver (and a huge CAP score on a fibroscan) but it’s not enlarged but I do have a mildly enlarged spleen. My bile ducts, pancreas, kidneys, gallbladder all are showing no issues.

My consultant didn’t make any comment but two other doctors said they think it was muscular. Is it a coincidence I also have liver problems?

Just wondering if anyone else has ever had a similar type of pain? I’m not seeing my consultant for another 3 months.
