What has the doctor said about your results?
Online I found this so it's possible your results were affected by other issues and all isn't as bad as sounded.
"Urea is a waste product that is produced by the breakdown of protein in the body. Urea is measured in blood or serum by the blood urea nitrogen (BUN) test. The normal range of BUN is 5 to 20 mg/dL (1.8 to 7.1 mmol/L). However, this range can vary depending on factors such as age, gender, protein intake, hydration, liver function, and kidney function."
Hi
These were took at the hospital and they didn’t mention that one until I asked for a cou from the nurse at the drs clinic.
All they told me was that my lymphocytes were low at 0.7
Hello. If you have or suspect liver disease, a decrease in urea levels in the blood may be associated with increased ammonia levels since urea is a transport form of ammonia that is removed from the body. If ammonia is not detoxified in the liver, its level in the blood increases and at the same time the level of urea decreases. You may want to talk to your doctor about checking your blood ammonia levels further. Elevated ammonia levels lead to hepatic encephalopathy with a wide range of nonspecific symptoms. Early treatment of hyperammonemia offers the opportunity to improve quality of life and prevent progression of symptoms.
Hi it doesn’t say bun on the urea one, it comes under my electrolyte profile.
It doesn’t look like there has been an ammonia one done.
The ones that are out of range are
Urea low
Lymphocytes low
APTT LOW
Clause fibrinogen high
CRP HIGH
Test results vary according to both the individual’s whole health and the laboratory analysing the results and should always be interpreted by the user’s own health care professionals. We suggest talking this through with your own doctor or health care professional.
