New to dialysis; CKD caused by lithium
I started dialysis last August after my kidneys dropped into the Stage 5 range (functioning at less than 10% of normal). I'm 59. Because I'm single and was living by myself, I had few good options but to move into a long-term rehab facility in a nearby suburb that has an on-site hemodialysis clinic.

Hi guys, sorry to be a total let down. I have cirrhosis and TIPS stent fitted 8 years ago. I have battled the booze many times and last periosd of sobriety was 19 months, at the moment it has got hold of me again and I need to stop. Getting delivery from Deliveroo of 10 cans of lager a day, its not much

waiting for the result of a 24 urine test as possible hypercalcaemia
I am waiting for the result of a 24 hour urine test. I have previously had above the normal range calcium tests. This has been going on for about a year. Iām guessing that the culprit is lithium but Iām wondering whether steroids can cause this ?

Calcium Hyroxyapatite caps: Does anyone take them and please give pros and cons if you can.
I took NOW calcium hydroxyapatite caps 500 mg daily until about a year ago. After going through the bottle containing 120 capsules, I started on Solaray calcium magnesium 2:1 ratio (containing calcium amino acid chelate complex, calcium carbonate, calcium hydroxide/ magnesium amino acid chelate complex

Tainted Blood Sample - Additional Info
Did not anticipate another blood sample error yesterday using hematology clinic lab with the personal touch specifically to avoid errors. Finding the positive, it is good to know that it is not only potassium that can be skewed greatly from a bad/coagulated sample but also protein and liver AST (aspartate

I have just been diagnosed with Osteoporosis T -2.9 in hips and spine at 64 years old. Dr prescribed biophosphates as my risk of fracture is high (statistically in paper). The thought of having drugs with side effects makes me run a mile and so I started my research that brought me here. I was prepared

Review "Simple Spectrum"
I came up with the idea that maybe supplements designed for autism which is a neurological issue treated with 'behavioral science' might be better for me than a B-complex. This was born of looking at the 'back up' for how B-complex were designed and their efficacy. It is pretty much seems like a good

Irregular platelets in PD
I have just enrolled Laurie Mischley's online Parkinson's School, and to say I'm finding it enlightening is an understatement. Importantly, it's prompted me to have my B12 (and various other) blood levels tested again for the first time since 2017. The bloods results show various low and high results

My Current Stack (What is in Yours?)
Ā Fabnusasked me what my current stack was so I am sharing it here. Please remember I have not been diagnosed with PD. I have RBD and some other symptoms.
Also remember I have a HS degree, poor impulse control, and I am prone to bad decisions. Please do your own research.

Questions about fatigue
I initially posted this to the B12 deficiency forum, and it was suggested that I post it here. I am in the USA. In the spring of 2021 I had been having periods of fatigue that would put me in bed for two or three days at a time, and then suddenly things would be better again. This was a repeating pattern

#1: The Start
Following the example of Ā Ā Clarebear I've decided to document my thyroid-adrenal journey on here in hopes it'll keep me accountable, and also may serve some after me. After a long, complicated history of no diagnosis, followed by lithium treatment, then prolonged time spent on T4 with no improvement,

I was diagnosed as thyroid cancer (PTC) and removed half of my thyroid last year. Before that, I 've been taking antidepressants and lithium for one and half a year. And much longer before that, I've been a Hashimoto's disease patients fore20 years. My thyroid function was stable before the cancer
