I was on lithium for bipolar, anxiety, and depression. It helps protect the brain as well. I forget what that’s called. They have it in the water in Japan maybe for that reason. But I had to go off because bloodwork showed signs it was hurting something maybe kidneys so bloodwork is necessary once in a while.

I took it for a couple of years, it was good for me for anxiety and depression.

I’ve taken it for years for bipolar, not for depression or anxiety though as it doesn’t help with that for me, everyone is different I have olanzapine for the depression and propranolol for the anxiety, I have gained an underactive thyroid due to the lithium. It’s a wonderful drug but it’s got some pretty nasty side effects
