New here. My Story and Why I Stopped Worrying Quite So Much. Also, One Question.
Lipitor
too. I actually feel a lot better and I think the worst is behind me. However... Question: It's been weeks since the TEE. My esophagus still hurts when I eat or drink. I feel full after eating small amounts but I'm not losing weight. In fact, I feel a bit bloated. Anyone else have that?

Wooly head, neck pain and nausea

High cholesterol
The doctor says I have a high coronary risk and overweight and should weigh 90kg for my height at 6'3inches and has prescribed
Lipitor
80mg for three months. The whole idea of living healthy is to avoid such issues and here I'm dealing with this. I'll be grateful for any suggestions, thanks.

What are our rights regarding prescribed medication, UK?
There was a period when I was ok taking the statin
Lipitor
, but got gastric sides with the generic Atorvastatin - supposedly same drug.
Lipitor
is 10 times the cost of Avn to NHS.. I haven't found any links to official guidance. Has anyone? It would be really helpful if BLF could inform us?

Pravastatin Effective Dosage
I'm not having any side effects at the moment, but I also don't fully trust statins (I had an instantly bad experience with
Lipitor
) and would like to minimize my exposure to them. Would 20mg of Pravastatin still be an effective dose? I know it's a weaker statin than some of the newer ones.

Heart Event, 1996
He put into an intensive heart rehab program, improved my eating life-styles, Rx.325mg aspirin in morning, with ACE inhibitor and
Lipitor
in evenings. I have been in this life style change since Sept.1996. I still work out in gym 2-3 evenings a week and am on the same Rx program.

Would you believe Shake Weight to away my shoulder pain from statins?
I went from Simviatatin, to Crestor, to
Lipitor
for 2+ years. Depending on my insurance. Then my doctor changed to Atorvistatin. If not for a pharmist who warned me of the serious side effects. I would have continued to suffer in silence. I started experiencing shoulder pain and memory loss.

Whilst at my doctors she told me that I was high risk heart attack and put me on 20mg
Lipitor
'Atorvastatin' one at night. What annoys me is they put the fear of God in you and then don't tell you what the medication does, just that it might cause blood in liver. Anyone else on this medication?

How well do drugs work ?
Patients believe statin drugs like
Lipitor
are about 100 times more effective than they actually are in preventing heart attacks. Studies show most people wouldn’t take multiple blood pressure medications if they knew the truth.

statins (lipitor) and metastatic prostate cancer
Hello all, My doctor recently recommended that I consider starting
Lipitor
. My current cancer meds are casodex and lupron. Has anyone have any positive, negative reactions with
Lipitor
. I'm in the metastatic phase of my battle, mets to bone, a few enlarged lymph nodes.

I don't trust these statin drugs
Taking
Lipitor
for 3 months, leg aches reported to Doctor,he said add CoQ10 and keep taking. Went for check up yesterday, blood work shows enzymes elevated, now he suggests an ultra sound. Everything I have read says these levels should return to normal after the
Lipitor
is stopped.
