Question re:periods
Hello everyone, Up until I started Levo in May this year I was having regular periods every 4 weeks. I think it was my own cycle rather than just an hrt “withdrawal bleed” from my hrt, as the periods were very heavy each time and lasted about 7 days. I had spells of missing a couple of periods here

Gynecology appointment update
Good Morning Just giving you an update after my gynecology appointment 12th October at the hospital. I have to go for a hysteroscopy the doctor thinks the thickening in my womb is lack of hormone or was due to the HRT I was taking previously, she also may do a biopsy to make sure all is fine. She has

Diarrhea after 8th IMRT
Hello, We were told one of the side effects of radiation could be diarrhea. My husband has felt the effects after his last 2 treatments. I was reading that the use of strong probiotics like VSL #3 helped patients. Any thoughts on this issue? Did it go away after the first two weeks or did it get worse

PSA testing comparison question
I know that PSA results can vary, particularly if processed by different labs. Knowing this, I do have a question. Quick recap, I completed 20 rounds of radiation at UCLA with Kishan back in April of this year. At the same time, I began 6 months of ADT. Over the past few months, while getting my

Add back hrt with Zoladex
Hi all, just after a bit of support/others’ experiences… I had my 3rd Zoladex last week and over the last 2 weeks menopause symptoms (muscle/joint ache, severe fatigue, palpitations etc) have kicked me hard. Previously prescribed Tibolone but massive headaches middle of the night so I tried to persevere

What Treatment - Or No Treatment Advice?
I am interested in what would be advised for a fit and active almost 78-year-old, In NED from stage 4 UTUC upper tract urothelial carcinoma. Initial prognosis 6 - 9 months in April 2017. Now only one kidney (GFR 42) No other co-morbidities. Good BMI. Never smoker or drinker. Not on any medication

Should my Thyroxine be put down?
Hello all, I've just had my latest results and my doctor has lowered my Thyroxine from 100mg to 75mg. Does that seem right? I feel very unwell and I'm putting on weight despite suffering from severe nausea, so I am definitely not over-eating. I'm 49-year-old woman who was diagnosed with an underachieve

Relative risk for secondary bone marrow cancer within 5 years after initial CLL chemoimmunotherapy treatment (typically BR or FCR)
In countries where targeted therapies ('brutinibs, venetoclax, obinutuzumab/rituximab) are now available, the remaining reason that FCR (Fludarabine+Cyclophosphamide+Rituximab) is still sometimes recommended for the treatment of CLL is that it can be curative* about 55% of the time - but [u]

To those who have read Dr Richard Wassersug's book....
As mentioned in other posts, off Erleada as it's contraindicated in my treatment of Multiple Myeloma. I was just approved for Zytiga. Hurray for me. Anyway, I have not read his book yet but it's on my list. I recently watched his Tube Video and found it interesting but covered other higher priority

HRT and magnesium supplements
Hi I’m new on here. I’m taking oestrogel 1-2 pumps in the morning, and one progesterone capsule at night. I’m increasingly frequently waking up in the night and I’m exhausted. Have tried other HRT types which made me feel mad and wild so I want to stick with this. Friends have recommended magnesium

Does testosterone fluctuate after ADT ends?
My treatment (Radiation/Lupron/Abirateron/Prednisone) ended on May 2. Gradually my testosterone began to come back. In August it was at 3 nmol/L and in Oct 6 it was 11 nmol/L so it is on a upward trend as can be expected. However I am wondering if there are up and down fluctuations because while

Go-forward Treatment Plan
First of all, I've been an avid reader of this forum over the past 2 years, and wanted to express my gratitude towards the amount of knowledge everyone has been sharing on this site. My father (62 y.o., very healthy) was diagnosed with aggressive PCa (Gleason 9, PSA 58) in Sep 2021, and underwent RALP

zoladex side effects
hi all. So I’m lying here awake again so thought I’ll add a post. I’m on month 2 of zoladex with the 3rd injection happening in less than a couple of weeks. And I’m really not convinced by them! I don’t think I’m any better off! Ok so my deep pelvic pain and erratic bleeding has worn off, however it’
