Check Your Blood-Work Results for this Cardiovascular Disease Risk-Metric
In essence, at the dangerous levels noted, they indicate a level of low-grade inflammation, similar to a CRP test (C-Reactive Protein), that triggers the degradation of
LDL
into VLDL (Very Low Density Lipoproteins). VLDL is the atherogenic component of
LDL
-C.

Why Cholesterol does not cause Heart Disease
Indeed, it has been well established that the only way
LDL
can enter a cell, is for that that cell to manufacture an
LDL
receptor, wave it about it the bloodstream to lock onto an
LDL
molecule, before dragging the receptor and the
LDL
back inside.

latest labs,please
Hi everyone,I hope you're all doing good. Can you please comment on my labs? Is that anemia that I'm seeing in the results or I'm not interpreting correctly? Also, scan revealed two nodules, sized 0.20 & 0.23 cm, one on each lobe. Should I have a biopsy?Do nodules affect adrenal function,as mine is already

RELUCTANT TO TAKE STATINS
The results were very close to the ones taken 2 years prior with only a slight increase in
LDL
. 4.5 This doctor wanted me to go on 10 mg of Crestor. I said I would try 5mg and it brought my
LDL
down to just under 3 which he was happy with.

High Cholestrol
My Cholestrol increased by 24 points in 2 months even though the HDL and
LDL
ratio is still good. Both HDL and
LDL
are increased. Since 80% of the Cholestrol is produced by liver. I wonder if this is a sign of decreased liver function.

Low Dose Naltrexone LDN
Anyone take this? After reading an article I think I’ll ask my Neurologist about a script for it. The research is not specific to MS but the cases presented seem promising. Any input would be appreciated. Becky

Low carb high fat diet effect on cholesterol
Blood results before (in brackets) and after: Triglycerides 1.8 (3.1)
LDL
2.2 (6.2) HDL 7.1 (1.7) Total cholesterol 9.3 (7.9) Total/HDL ratio 1.3 (4.6) As you can see, just 10 weeks on this diet and my blood lipids have improved enormously.
