March 2014 Carcinosarcoma. Bleeding found it. Bled a month before total hysterectomy and 19 lymph nodes out. Invasion from uterus to myometrium only 0.3. Myometrium thickness 2.4. Stage1A. Four rounds Ifosfimide and Taxol. Did not do two Taxol. Emergency in chemo chair. Highest doses. Then four rounds highest dose internal radiation. I am still cancer free now in sept I use the LDH cancer marker. Like that best. Surgeon was a Nayo Dr who moved to KC M O but got chemo here for n my town. I got the normal scan for my cancer at 8 months then once when I was having severe pain but things were ok. Then again just now as protocol. I am to avoid all scans and c-rays etc to not have too much. But I've had to have three x-rays and other pretty Bless have caused two more scans and get a radioactive dyebto check heart in Oct. can't be helped. I don't do mammograms. Saw the twice study on tv about groups getting that test produced higher cancer so just let Dr check me. I get paps every six months. Was three for two years. I do have mild Dysplasia that when it gets to moderate etc will have laser surgery. That was confirmed to be from internal radiation. Vaginal Dysplasia. It often happens but that's ok. I wanted to live and am doing so. For my cancer to be here still is very good in my favor and I believe in prayer very much.

Hello Amy, It sounds as if you have uterine carcinosarcoma whereas this site is for ovarian carcinomas and carcinosarcomas (although there are not many of us with the latter diagnosis). Search in My Communities for uterine or womb cancer as I think you'll find the treatments are different for uterine and ovarian cancers. There is also a Yahoo site specifically for carcinosarcomas (MMMT) and the vast majority of members are uterine carcinosarcoma patients. It's a closed group and you have to ask to join. I'm sure it has lots of useful information but I've never really managed to find my way around the site too easily. Search on line for Yahoo carcinosarcoma or MMMT.
