Any ideas: Naltrexone vs Prednisone
Hello people. I have been getting better as per pain management on the whole. Legs still ache at beginning of winter in the southern hemisphere. I was told I no longer have PMR tapering off Prednisone after 22 months as CRP 1.5 to .9 along. After feeling well for 2 wks having come off the pred.

Life long statin
My
LDL
as never been high, but discovered that I needed a bypass . My cardiologist says I should remain on statins for life due to the anti inflammatory effects they have., to keep my CRP low .

Understanding prognosticators early on
I've watched all the videos on Patient Power and Cll Society. I've read what I can. And now sifting through my initial blood test results is alarming me. Mind you now I haven't even yet seen the specialist--two top specialist appointments are scheduled over the next three weeks--and I don't know any

LDH markers
My husband was on immunotherapy for lung cancer which had spread to lymph nodes and pleura. The immunotherapy was stopped as a CT scan showed spread to the liver. He has now been put on Carboplatin and Pemetrexed. After his last (2nd) dose of that his bloods showed an increase in LDH. Stupidly I Googled

Learned LDL Cholesterol is Elevated to 151 (USA) or 1.7 in Europe & Prescribed Statin Drug Crestor 5mg!
But 151
LDL
is very high and don't want heart attack or stroke. My HDL level is very good. I have been on Red Yeast Rice for a couple years, but it's evidently not helping. Prescribing Dr. of Crestor said I need to come off the Red Yeast Rice.

Starting my diagnostic journey
Hello. So glad to find this resource. I am a 68 year old woman in excellent general health. Yet I just learned two weeks ago that I have CLL, probably SLL. Experience with LDN?
I’m hearing that low dose naltrexone addresses symptoms other than tremors and beneficial and benign. My neurologist doesn’t want to prescribe it. I could go to a naturopath for a prescription but wondering what luck others have had with it.

Could Very Low 'Bad' Cholesterol Bring Stroke Danger?
But after tracking nearly 28,000 women aged 45 and up for two decades, investigators determined that women with
LDL
levels of 70 mg/dL or lower were more than twice as likely to experience a bleeding ("hemorrhagic") stroke than those with
LDL
levels in the range of 100 to 130 mg/dL.
