It is not PCa specific but a marker of cellular /tissue damage. Related to inflammation also.
I guess if you have a baseline, then you could use it to monitor disease progress in a number of diseases. For those with neuroendocrine PSA, it could be used--see article below:

It seems that it could be use as a prognostic indicator in patients with bone metastases. it is not specific for prostate cancer and other causes of an elevated LDH should be ruled out.

Lactic D Hydrogenase is an old friend. When I first began running clinical and hospital laboratories we ran 'Chem-12' profiles. LDH was one of the 12. It was usually was useful for tracking liver or cardiac damage.
That was half a century ago.
I see this MO for the first time next week. I'll learn more from her then. My guess is that she has had sucess using this cell-wall enzyme for tracking something.
Spending hours every day trying to comprehend Advanced Metastatic Prostate Cancer, I was a bit surprised by that test being ordered.
