Monitoring Your Biomarkers
I am still working my way through the new book
The Afib Cure
by US electrophysiologists Drs. John Day & Jared Bunch. And I have to say, the chapter on "Biomarker Monitoring" alone is worth the price of admission. This photo is their table of the "Ten Key Biomarkers for Afib". And they

Iron bisglycinate and drowsiness
Hello all. I hope you are all well. I suffer with chronic dizziness too and am finding that my iron bisglycinate supplement 20mg makes me drowsy. Can it do this? Would it be ok to take it at night half an hour before bed with a little fruit instead and added Vit C? Thanks again for any suggestions.

Scared have colon c
Hi I’ve had thin stools for 5 months now. I’ve spoken to my doctor so many times. They just say anxiety or IBS. One day they were normal then the next they weren’t. The day before when they were normal I was drinking veg and fruit shakes and then also taking vitamin C capsules every hour as I had a cold

Too much iron
Hi all!! My hematologist hasn’t been able to get me in and I won’t see him till March 1st. I’ve been self injecting since I was diagnosed last year and was refused the amount of B 12 I needed because I always test too high and well, you know the rest. Between having all three MTHFR’s and being a gastric

Does B12 deficiency deplete iron levels?
Hi everyone ! I’m a bit stumped regarding my newest iron panel results (below). First of all, I’ve been supplementing with 60 mg every other day and having an iron rich diet with vitamin C. Even so, my levels have been dropping quite dramatically: 09/29/2020 Total Iron 92 ug/dL (50-212) Iron Binding

My Deficiencies
Hi All, I've been struggling for last few months not because of blood sugar related issues but with some other deficiencies. It was a bit hard to find to what deficiencies I have. I was feeling very tired[particularly after taking food] for the past few months. I have had similar symptoms like this.

Measures against Covid 19.
The main problem with Covid is not the virus per se, it is the fact that so many people have serious health conditions and weak immune function. It is now known that 95% of those who die from Covid have serious underlying conditions and the other 5% are probably nowhere near optimum health. If most

If people knew... what Parkinson's is.
If people knew how hard, how very hard Parkinson's can be, it would help us spread this information. Okay, not all of it, but not even vitamin B9 to control the neurotoxic homocysteine, just the right amount of vitamin B6 in 10-25 mg per day as indicated in the levodopa prospectus, or vitamin D to prevent

Cardiovascular Disease (CVD), Parkinson's Disease (PD) and Melatonin
Previously we discussed how melatonin can be beneficial for people with Parkinson's disease (PwP) at a dose as low as 10 mg / day. Recent studies are confirming that Parkinson's disease (PD) is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease (CVD). The relationship is not yet fully understood, but it is now

2. Non-Parkinsonian lifestyle (lower risk of developing the disease).
(Excerpt from the book I am writing now. I hope you find it useful). Is Parkinson's disease a lifestyle disease? 2. Non-Parkinsonian style. (lower risk of developing the disease, even delaying the onset of symptoms by years). Just as we came to realise the existence of a "Parkinsonian" lifestyle (

Liothyronine trial update
5 weeks into my T3 trial and sadly, it’s not been beneficial so far. I don’t feel any better. (In fact my health is awful- but I’m putting it down to lockdown blues/inactivity/crap diet) but it’s a catch 22 situation. I feel so terribly low in mood, so not eating the best, joints are painful so exercise

Waiting and worrying
I have to wait up to 4 weeks for results after testing positive for hep c antibodies. The more I think about it the more I am worrying. I have been feeling tense for months now and uncomfortable and now I'm thinking its the symptoms of feeling fatigue and tiredness. I know there is great treatment and

Vitamin C, zinc don't lessen Covid-19 symptoms, study finds.
Can vitamin C and zinc help you fight off Covid-19? No, not even at high doses, according to the first randomized clinical trial to test the two supplements under medical supervision. Despite the popular use of vitamin C and zinc to fight off or lessen the severity of viral colds and flu, the new study
