Son has stretched bowel for 6 years
I give him Movicol
laxatives
x1 once a day, every day since he was 3 years old. He soils himself at least once a day and we are sure he can feel it when he's sitting in it. We have to have towels on all our furniture in case. He is a solid boy and extremely fussy eater.

Constipation
He has been to our GP who prescribed strong
laxatives
, but he has had very little relief. He is very worried, imagining all sorts of things. Any advice would be welcome.

IBS and bloating since stent installation
Having constipation and bloating mostly and
laxatives
are hardly working. Is this a common symptom and if so what remedy? I had IBS once and have some constipation always.

Colonoscopy on Weds
For those of you who are familiar with the process you can hopefully appreciate just how counter intuative it is to take super strong
laxatives
when you already suffer from IBS-D. I have had a colonoscopy before but feel more apprehensive about it this this because of the day of the
laxatives
.

Can a serious bout on constipation triggers the on set of Prostate Cancer
At that time I did not use any
laxatives
and after much struggle I started with great effort got my bowel moving again. Now that I developed Stage 4 PCa I just wonder. Please feel free to comment.

Chest pain??
Hi, I was referred to the eating disorder clinic by my gp back in November (I make myself sick after eating and use
laxatives
). She told me it will most likely be 3-4 months before I hear anything. In the meantime she sent me for an ecg. The ecg came back fine.

I am suspending my Doxycycline & Vitamin C treatment for 1 week
During the 3-4 days period I had
laxatives
, no restrictions on food and also consumed a full 850 g canned peaches in syrupy which is really unhealthy. 18 Dec 17 had a CT scan. After CT scan had aches in my calf muscle and left ureter region. With 2 Panamax 500 mg during the night.

Hep C for over 25 years, maybe a lot longer
On massive doses of
laxatives
which hardly work - I've only been once in 3 days and not really urinating much either. Was told that the procedure may have to be repeated in maybe 3 weeks, maybe a year, maybe 10 years, they couldn't say.

Prescription query?
Having finally cleared out my daughter we have been told to give her daily doses of senokot and sodium picosulphate - i thought these were both
laxatives
doing much the same thing - it seems a bit overkill to me and we've been told to drop the movicol and use these instead simply because they said start

Hello Heart Warriors, I’m Home!
Three days in HDU began with my body reacting differently than most to the anaesthetic and morphine, let’s just say I didn’t need
laxatives
! At the same time I had put on twelve kilos with fluid retention. I could hardly breath or move and so the poor nursing angels had to do everything for me.

Toilet troubles!!!
I'm worried about taking
laxatives
too often so don't take them more than twice a week and try and stick to senna or movicol which I have on prescription but I have to take a lot of those for anything to happen.

Prucalopride
I think I have a slow transit problem, but ordinary
laxatives
do not work. The Gastroenterolist was very vague towards me and said he was not allowed to perscibe it, ( Prucalopride ) which I thought was strange as he is a consultant.

are laxatives safe if already underweight?
They suspect that my womb may be 'stuck' to my colon) Im concered that taking so much
laxatives
might effect the way my body absorbs nutrients and could cause me to lose weight.... has anyone had similar experiences with this?

Constant diarrhoea
Had a third degree tear so was given
laxatives
but my poo has never gone back to normal. Iv asked my doctors twice now and they send me for bloods and it shows nothing! I'm really starting to get down about it now and I'm getting really bad stomach/back pains and general constant tummy pain.
