Guys Hospital Endometriosis Clinic - any experience
I was diagnosed by
laparoscopy
in 2020 after 20 years of symptoms and have had pain since which has been dismissed by my current consultant - but a recent ultrasound has found considerable fibroids and retroverted uterus - both of which are consistent with the pain I am having!

Worth seeing NHS gynaecologist after private surgery?
Since the referral I saw a specialist via BUPA and have had a
laparoscopy
with endometriosis excision and removal of cyst. They found I also have adenomyosis and some small fibroids.

2nd FET protocol for 4th embryo transfer
I’ve been diagnosed with mild to moderate endometriosis via
laparoscopy
and had this removed back in 2022. I’ve also got a slightly underactive thyroid so I've been put on thyroxine. Other than that it’s unexplained infertility. My husband’s had multiple tests and all seems fine there.

Laparoscopy 4 months ago privately and problem has returned
I had my second
laparoscopy
in May this year. I paid privately as I am undergoing fertility treatment and needed my tube sorting to be able to carry on. Going in to the operation I was told I would either have my tube clipped or removed depending on what could be done.

No down regulation before FET (with endometriosis)
I have no endometriosis symptoms and am not having a
laparoscopy
at least for now. I have had implantation before and development of a pregnancy without any down reg (no live birth). Please share your encouragement on this if you can xx

Laparoscopy
I have my first
laparoscopy
booked for the end of July as I have endometriosis and adenomyosis. They are also looking at my bladder as I've been on antibiotics for 11 years for recurrent UTIs with no known cause.I'm sick of the pain and bloating.

Confused
The NHS are very much pushing me down the hsg/
laparoscopy
route but I decided to see a private gynaecologist yesterday and he basically said what's the point in hsg/lap if you're having ivf. He said I can basically assume I have endometriosis and that this is the cause of my infertility.

Caudal epidural
I had a caudal epidural yesterday as a stop gap to help with pain while waiting for a date for my third
laparoscopy
. The epidural was done with sedation, and I have to say that the immediate sense of pain relief was amazing as I’d almost forgotten what it feels like to not be in pain!

Weight Loss?
I've been trying to get a diagnosis for 3 years now and I've been told that they won't do the
laparoscopy
until I lose weight. Since my issues started, I've put on five stone, and no matter what I do it continues to pile on.

bloating
hi all, looking for some advice - I have suspected endo awaiting
laparoscopy
and have had symptoms for around 8 years. I’ve noticed bloating has been worse in the past year & it’s getting to the point where I’m so bloated and uncomfortable I’m getting stretch marks on my stomach.

Adenomyosis & IVF - a bloke in need of understanding and reading good news
Since January, NHS completed the only test we have not paid for or advised to take by CARE which was a
laparoscopy
. This proved my wife has 'advanced' adenomyosis. We were told by specialist the natural birth would be 10% and IVF route would be 20%.

Post laparoscopy anxieties
I'm about a week post-op from my first
laparoscopy
which found stage 2 endo. In general, it was a good surgery and my pain is about manageable now. I'm still not overly mobile and can't bend down or anything so still relying on my partner to help me with a lot of things around the house.
