supplements for a fibs???
Has anyone here used magnesium or L arginine for atrial fibrillations? If yes, and you had good results, what were the dosages and how often daily? Thank you.

Hashimotos for Sixteen Years, Realizing I Know Next to Nothing
This is a long story, and as with so much in this "we have too much info" age, I'm probably over-responding, but, I was recently blindsided by a new health condition, and I don't fancy having it happen again if there are cues available. I've had hypothyroidism/Hashimotos for 16-17 years, at least based

Any tips for Natural Modified FET (boost lining)?
Hi everyone, I have a persistent thinnish lining (around 6 to 7mm) after an episode of abnormal bleeding between periods (turned out to be silent endo and a polyp that did not show up on ultrasound). Before that, 11mm was my average. After failing a recent FET, my doctor decided to monitor my lining

Eating Nuts for Heart Health
If you are interested in eating nuts to improve your health, look up each one to see what vitamins or minerals it will supply and how many you should eat daily. It's important that nuts are 'really well chewed' and if you do that it will not effect pockets that may have formed in the bowel due to

I was diagnosed with GCA in November and was started on 40mg of prednisone.
I experienced really bad steroid induced diabetes which seems a bit more in control now. I am currently down to 8mg of Prednisone, then 120mg of Glyclazide and 500mg of Metformin for the diabetes In the last few days I have felt very depressed and anxious. I am not sure if this is related to my

Daily multivitamins do not help people live longer, major study finds
The taking of general multivitamins has long been questioned here on this forum. The article specifically identifies iron: Meanwhile iron, which is added to many multivitamins, can lead to iron overload and raise the risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and dementia. I think we'd also advocate

Reducing steroids and adrenal symptoms

COVID between cycles and impact on egg quality ... Any knowledge/ experience?
Hey all - so I was meant to start my next cycle of IVF in 3 weeks time. I have been so healthy; haven't caught a cold or even a sniffle for the past 12 months but have somehow managed to pick up COVID from somewhere. I've had 3 vaccines and COVID once before but am still testing very positive 6 days

Hormone concerns prior to ICSI
HiWe are due to start out first IVF/ICSI next month. I privately have been doing my own investigations as our GP and NHS is terrible in our area and I have been having symptoms of concern. We are referred for ICSI due to poor morphology but also I am 36 and AMH 6.25. So far I have found that on a day

Cholesterol and CLL
Hoping for some information from the wise ones here - back in January my GP said she wanted to start me on a statin as my cholesterol was high. I said I preferred to try to bring it down myself rather than with medication (and my intent here is not to start a debate on statins - I just prefer a natural

Low carbs
Im 2 years in on my PMR journey with a really bad flare last July. Which took me back to the beginning. After reading on here about eating a low carb diet. I got out my 800 fast keto book and started cooking from it. Where I don’t stick to 800 I do try to be no more than 1,200 calories. And no more

I came across this https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9080102/
Nutritional recommendations for patients undergoing prolonged glucocorticoid therapy
I do wonder if there should be a leaflet on nutrition that docs hand out when they start us on high doses of daily pred (including reducing
