Thinking about giving up on diagnosis
Hi everyone. I finally had my first consultation at an endometriosis specialist centre. I saw a female doctor for the first time ever since my problems started a few years ago, which was nice. She couldn't believe that my GP surgery wouldn't let me continue with the combined pill and said I would HAVE

Background I have a lifelong hereditary condition known as FAP. Because of this I have had several surgeries to remove my whole colon and rectum. In 2009 I had surgery to create what is called a J pouch, which is made from approximately the last 40cm of terminal ileum. Current issues. Recent blood

ZSR staples still intact after 9 days of circumcision
Hi, had my ZSR circumcision around 9 days back. The surgery went well with very less bleeding and discomfort. Glans sensitivity though still there has reduced a bit and is bearable. Have a little donut swelling just behind the glans but that is expected I guess. The worry is, it has been 9 days now

getting reading for HIP replacement #2
After the right in 2022, now it's time for the left. I'm not in horrible pain but I want to get it done so that I regain more ability to be active and workout, keep muscle mass (I'm 58), and continue to keep MS at bay. Just got the green light from the neuro. Ocrevus is delayed for 2 months to avoid

Can diet cause SIBO?
Hello everyone, was diagnosed with SIBO last year after a positive breath test. Took an 8 week course of rifaximin (550 mg, twice a day) and assumed all was well. SIBO seems to have come back this year (positive breath test), and I am repeating the course of antibiotics. This time I've been told to

Benefit of private consultation, Adeno & Fybroids
Hi this is the first time I have posted here, but have been following messages for a while and just wanted to share the positive experience I’ve had with a private consultation. I started in November last year with what I would describe as hemorrhaging. I’ve always had heavy periods but this was uncontrolled

Varicose veins and returning to running after time off
Hi, first post here. I have varicose veins and am an endurance runner. I have not run since January 2024. Since injury and to keep cardio up, I ride 120 KMs a week. I am ready to return to running and was wondering how long will it take me to return to previous level of fitness after having time off

Varicose veins and returning to running after injury
I have varicose veins and have not done long distance running since January this year. I have been riding my bike 120 km per week to keep cardio fitness up. Just wondering would it be ok to come back to running yet? I have not had surgery and don't intend to get surgery. Would it be ok to get back to

Hi all, I have been dealing with Itp since December 2022. My numbers fluctuate from 50k-76k. In march 2024 I had an Ivig infusion with decadron 10mg to increase platelets for a dental surgery. Before the infusion my platelets were 76k. I have done 3 tests from march till now and platelets are decreasing

Depressing facial rashes/What do you do?
Today I feel very overwhelmed with the uglies of lupus on my face. I’ve begun a flare of my own fault getting maybe 5 minutes of sun. My face is attacked with red raised bumps and my fingers and legs as well. I’ve had this before but never so acute. I take hydroxy and can’t change to another medication

Followed advice here, now need help with understanding results
Hi, I’ve learned more here in the last year or so than I’ve ever learned from doctors. I’ve also come to know that I’ve probably been on too low of a Synthroid dosage for far too long. I am hypothyroid with Hashimoto’s since 2005 or 2006. I had a goiter on my parathyroid and had surgery to remove
