Hi Sunny-time back. Since my first post four weeks ago I have started a gluten free and dairy free way of eating and feeling so good. I have also had a Medicheck test and would appreciate feedback please.

CRP HS 2.99

Ferritin 50.1

Vitamin D low 46.1 have started D3 K2 oral

TSH 14.9

Free T3 4.7

Free Thyroxine 14.9

Thyroglobulin Antibodies 1041

All other vitamins are good

I am not on any tablets at the moment as Levothyroxine made me so ill and Surgery seem to have gone silent on me. Weight loss stopped but not putting any on.

Ferritin is on low side

cks.nice.org.uk/topics/anae...

Serum ferritin level is the biochemical test, which most reliably correlates with relative total body iron stores. In all people, a serum ferritin level of less than 30 micrograms/L confirms the diagnosis of iron deficiency.

Never supplement iron without doing full iron panel test for anaemia first and retest 3-4 times a year if self supplementing.

It’s possible to have low ferritin but high iron

Test early morning, only water to drink between waking and test. Avoid high iron rich dinner night before test

If on iron supplements…..Stop 5-7 days before testing

Look at increasing iron rich foods in diet

Eating iron rich foods like liver or liver pate once a week plus other red meat, pumpkin seeds and dark chocolate, plus daily orange juice or other vitamin C rich drink can help improve iron absorption
