GI issues post transplant
I am now 7 months post kidney transplant. I was fortunate to never be on dialysis and had a living donor. Things are going just fine with good lab work and I feel great. I am back doing most of what I did prior to transplant. Now the reason for my question is that the only thing I have had issues

Options for Recurrent PCa w/ RT Initial Therapy
Looking for options with intent to cure if recurrence is limited to prostate only, pending PET-PSMA. Have read about these options: Prostatectomy/Brachytherapy/Cystoprostatectomy/Cryotherapy Anybody have any knowledge or studies that might suggest a direction? Still hoping for the possibility

Zanubrutinib and ACE inhibitors
I am approaching the start of treatment for the first time. I have for many years been taking an ACE inhibitor (perindropril) for high blood pressure, which is now well controlled. I have CLL, my lymphocyte count is doubling quickly (~2 months) and my haematologist is considering options for treatment

Seeking advice re: end-of-life planning with family
Hello everyone – I am a 70-yr-old retired health care professional and writer; my EGFR has been in the low teens since 2019, and I have most of the challenges you would expect. As time goes by my renal status continues to deteriorate, and I’m not functioning as well as I used to in any area of my life

Postive ANA?
Hi, I recently had a postive ANA result (1:160 speckled) alongside elevated CRP. Few years ago had tests that my GP said were indicative of lupus (abnormal urine sample, elevated serum creatine and elevated lupus anti coag) he said if I felt okay to just leave it there… Since 2020 I have felt gradually

Looking for a Surgeon with Specific Skills
This is a long shot. I’m an Aussie. I had HD brachytherapy for prostate cancer in 2010. In 2016, I was diagnosed with Carcinoma in Situ in the bladder. I’ve had multiple rounds of BCG, and I’m now heading towards a radical cystectomy. My urologist is nervous about the risk of damage to the rectum

Disimpaction photos anyone?
Has anyone got a series of photos to show when disimpaction has completed? Does the poo go completely watery as with diarrhoea from a bug? Or does the macrogol thicken it a little? I can't tell if we can stop yet and I don't want her missing school so close to the end of term. Can I stop disimpaction

I saw Doctor Jose Thomas at the Spire hospital in Cardiff South Wales before Christmas and completed his standard forms relating to RLS, sleep patterns mental state and so on. He wrote to my GP suggesting i commence a course of Pregabalin

Left pain above left hip?
I have had IBS for several years. Have had a sigmoidectomy over 30 years ago. Since January my bm's have been normal to constipation. For several year's I took bentyl and due to circumstances quit taking it. I now have pain like a side cramp from running. It goes around my back, to the front of my abdomen

prednisone and antibiotics
Has anyone had a problem with antibiotics wiping out prednisone. Was down to 2.5-lowest in 8 years. Took antibiotics (Bactrim) and all old PMR symptoms came back. Hurt all over. Read Bactrim and Cipro are quinolones and do not work well with Steroids. Neither Dr or pharmacist knew this. Not sure how

So thankful for a working kidney and the blessing of a Living donor.... but the meds have been almost more than I can handle. And the toll they are taking on my body is immense. Can anyone tell me their experience with all these meds and how they worked through and held on through recovery. I am 6

Goat whey, casein, IGF-1 etc. - Do they promote or slow cancer growth?
I've been trying for many years to decide whether to take a protein powder supplement to help maintain muscle mass. Since I started on ADT in 2016, I've lost 30 pounds. I don't know how much is due to the ADT, and how much is due to my diet. I'm 172 pounds now. I was muscular and athletic at 202,
