( Crohn) My intestine is kinda of stuck ( I'm not going regularly in the bathroom) and is given me a lot of intestine pain, should I worry?
my illness is active, I had many symptoms, and my doctor prescribed me antibiotics for 30 days, there were 2 different types of antibiotics, I took omeprazole before eating, I ate and then I took the medicine at the right time. but after 2 weeks of taking them, even taking omeprazole, I felt a burning

Omeprazole and digestive enzymes
I have suffered from GERD for a few years now but had great success phasing myself away from omeprazole onto digestive enzymes, containing betaine hcl which completely resolved the issue. I suspect I have low stomach acid due to Hashimoto’s. Fast forward a year and I’m now expecting my first child (

Tiredness (again!)
Actually it is more than tiredness - it is hollow-legged, shaky insides, exhaustion and I want to know why! This is day three of my third lot of oral steroids in six weeks, and day three of my second lot of antibiotics (despite my chest being clear). I am on week 7, day 2 of being poorly - the latest

Side Effects
I am 2 months post HA and having 2 stents fitted in RCA which was 90% blocked. I’m on Ramipril, Clopidogrel, Aspirin and Atorvastatin. I’m getting really bad side effects of indigestion, terrible anxiety leading to muscle spasms in my throat and tightness in my chest which is causing me to panic....vicious

An update and some excitement and anxiety about the next couple of weeks
Tentative PMR diagnoses late August and started on 15mg Pred, then 20mg and a whopping 60mg short-term on specialist advice pending a hospital referral I have reduced Prednisone to 22.5 mg from 25mg over the past 10 days. Keen to get into the guideline range after being boosted up to 60mg when there

Omeprazole GERD
Hello, I’m aware of the recent research highlighting the negative impact of long term use of omeprazole. I have been taking omeprazole and was worried about stopping due to the ‘rebound heartburn’ that happens. I stopped 6 weeks ago and although it was a horrible 6 weeks due to the rebound, finally

Possible to be hypothyroid with low TSH and high Free Thyroxine?
Just a quick question - is it possible to be hypo with low TSH and high/normal free thyroxine? I've posted on here before, and read a few pieces and articles on Thyroid UK, amongst other things but I'm finding a lot of conflicting information. Results: TSH - 1.14 (mIU/L 0.27 - 4.20 ) T4 - 17.100 (pmol

Ventolin and reflux???
Hi - it’s an unusual side effect (I don’t think it’s even listed as one!), but does anyone else get a worsening of reflux symptoms if they use too much ventolin? I’m currently on ranitidine (omeprazole ‘gave’ me reflux 🙄) and rarely get issues as was initially put on prophylactically due to pred until

Acid reflux
I have Acid reflux and a hiatal hernia. I try to keep off prescription meds as much as possible but sometimes the chest and sternum pain is too great. However, omeprazole and Zantac give me horrendous restless legs and arms. Has anyone who suffers from this condition taken anything that doesn’t give

Does anyone have any home made miracle acid reflux tips or temporary fixes? I am having a flare up and don't have any omeprazole in the house until tomorrow and I can't face another night of throwing up the fiery balls of hell 😀

A snippet from a life changing read
This morning I wrote a very long post explaining the transformation I have made. Tried to post it and an error occurred 🤬 included in my post was the snippet I have posted from a life changing book ( for me anyway) I have had type 2 diabetes for nearly 20 years, I was on metformin, alogliptin and dapagliflozine

Liver retest improvement times?
Hi, My second post. A month ago I was referred to a specialist as my liver function tests were abnormal, elf score was higher than normal and ultrasound showed inflammation and fat. Symptoms were itching and tiredness. A few years ago when on Omeprazole my liver tests were abnormal so I was taken off

Made a decision to have further tests done
Hi all. Following a horrible week of symptoms I've finally decided to take charge of my own health and have further tests done. I have benefitted massively from advice here so thanks to everyone who has so far responded to my posts. It truly is comforting to know you're not alone, not going mad and it's

Is Hashimoto's possible without weight gain?
Having recently been diagnosed with autoimmune disorder/Hashimoto's, I have done a little reading and was curious as to whether it's possible to actually have Hashimoto's but with the total opposite of the weight gain symptom? I tick a lot of the boxes, but weight gain seems a very, very common - almost

Which tablets to use?
Hi everyone, I've just been diagnosed with a folate deficiency (2, range above 3). It could be diet related as I've recently been unwell and struggled to cook for myself, but equally might not be (For what it's worth I've had to take omeprazole for the last 13 months and coming off it isn't an option

GERD.
This question has most likely been asked before on the forum but I can't remember what the replies said. Can GERD cause your heart to miss/skip beats? Can a hiatus hernia cause ectopics? I know that medical advice can't be given, I'm just asking for forum members' experiences. I take 40mg of Omeprazole
