Which tablets to use?

Hi everyone,

I've just been diagnosed with a folate deficiency (2, range above 3). It could be diet related as I've recently been unwell and struggled to cook for myself, but equally might not be (For what it's worth I've had to take omeprazole for the last 13 months and coming off it isn't an option at present). My GP has suggested that I supplement myself with a b12 tablet, on the basis that my body may start to use more b12 as my folate level rises with the treatment I'm now being given. Although my b12 isn't low enough for him to prescribe injections at the moment we both agree that we don't particularly want to start.

Any tips on what I should be looking for in a tablet?

I’m being prescribed folic acid (and high dose vit d too, for what it’s worth), but it’s the b12 they have suggested I buy.
